Is there scientific evidence that a “cocktail” treatment has halted the “bug”, or that a textile face mask provides any protection when worn over stubble? There is a body of research, including studies from Australia, indicating that the protective effect may be limited. However, hand hygiene has been consistently shown to be effective. Additionally, some Australian research suggests that after receiving 2-3 booster shots, the immune system may be less capable of providing protection.

I left my husband of 6 years because I felt as if we were going in 2 different directions. This happened last year in Ju. In Feb, I lost my dad, and then in May, I lost my son. He never helped to comfort me with their loss. He even said the next morning after my son passed, he said, "Stop your balling, and get over it." It was then I had that stop the car and get out moment. It was so difficult to make the choice to leave, but in July, I did, and he had a new girlfriend in a week. I guess he really didn't want me. So I've embraced my spiritual gifts, completed my reiki, and now I'm a master reiki practitioner, and I have started my own holistic healing business. I have been clearing out since last year clearing out things.

I kinda went through the same thing learning about my friends. A great Teacher asked me once, how many friends I had?? I was 22 or so at that time!! He asked if I was able to count them all on both hands yet?? I said of course I can count them on both hands, and all ten toes, with a chuckle!!! I thought I had about 45 good friends!! Well he proceeded to teach me the difference between friend and acquaintance. He said all those 45 are not true friends. True friends are the ones that come say goodbye on your death bed.. I still said yes and stood up for my so called friends.. So, He asked me to stop throwing the parties.. Stop buying the supplies and supplying the venue.. So I agreed, that for the next 30 days I didn't reach out to them at all.. The ones that called me to see how I was doing and if I wanted to come over and kick back, or maybe throw some stuff on the grill and have dinner together.. People that were interested in my well being!! Those I was allowed to count. At the end of 30 days we'll have this discussion again to see what transpired.. So I waited, and waited, and waited. Not one of those people ever called to see if I was even alive any longer.. And to this day, I've never called them back either.. I was blown away totally.. Devastated really!! People will use you up for everything you have. When it's gone,Their gone with it!! It was a rough lesson to learn as a young guy in his social prime.. 45 yrs have passed since that day.. I can only count my true friends on one hand now..l. It was a real eye opener for me..

The one good piece of knowledge I pulled from being a former drug addict is that any person in this world is truly, honestly blessed to have even one true friend in a lifetime. We’re programmed to believe that we have to be surrounded by people or engaged in romance to be happy. This is untrue. You have all the love you ever need in your family, and relationships are worth waiting for. The right one will find you, not the other way around.

So true. I have been a nurse for 43 years. I had my second back surgery in 9 months a couple of years ago. Came back too early because I didn’t have leave left and no FMLA because I hadn’t worked enough hours that year. Where do they think I got my back problem from? Went back and they had replaced me a week after I had surgery. I talked to manager about when I was coming back and she said Great ! Never a word about changing positions. Still very unsteady on my feet so not able to do what I usually did. Did they care? Not a bit. And this is a clinic that cares for underserved people. What a joke. I left on disability and had to have another surgery 7 months later. 😅Good thing they didn’t have to put u with me again.

Thank you Maria and John for recognizing that nobody cares for the caregivers (we were "told" to clock out for lunch, but never got a chance to do so and then be marked down on evaluations for " overtime" or poor time management when you have 8 or 10 patients when the standard of care is 6). John is absolutely right about the way that the Healthcare system has taken advantage of us Healthcare workers AND the patients. Healthcare IS a business and has taken the care part out of Healthcare. John has ABSOLUTELY described what is going on. I am a retired RN and got out 5.5 years ago, before Covid. I retired because of personal health issues and also due to burnout, lack of respect, having 18 yr olds telling me how to do my job, etc. Remember, be kind to nurses; we keep the doctors from accidentally killing you...and we also have the magic finger that gets your pain medication !

The Christmas card "return" that John spoke about really resonated with me. Some years ago, it hit me hard that I had given Christmas presents to 15 people and got no presents at all from anybody. I love buying gifts for people, and I never have given gifts just to get gifts, but it was an epiphany to realize that I didn't mean the same thing to them as they did to me - that the balance in our relationship(s) was way off. So I stopped. It is painful to not exchange birthday or Christmas gifts with family and friends, but I needed to "stop the bleeding" and learn to find peace and joy in myself. I know that I need to choose to be joyful, and that may mean not "throwing myself under the bus" over and over again. Thank you for this program and Happy New Year!

I am on the other side of this in that I have an aunt who loves buying presents and my parents would stress every year at what to get her because she has everything or if it's a piece of jewelry or something that's personal and she may not like it. Each year and they'd say to her please let's stop with the gifts, or donate to charity instead, or just spend the quality time together. But she wanted to do the gifts so they're still stuck in it. For me that's not what gift giving should be about but we do get stuck in these roles at Christmas and/or birthday time. But it's wrong to just let someone keep buying you stuff and not reciprocating and not asking them to stop. ❤️

Things are going to get very very bad. I believe this is leading to the anti christ. Now is a good time to believe in Jesus. I know from personal experience that Jesus is real. He brings immense joy and love and a much different understanding of things. April 9, 2021, my vision went black for a quick moment. I saw in gold letters: Thus saith the Lord. About four hours later, April 10, in my sleep I heard: Prophet. Tell them I am coming soon. 3-5 min later, at 1235 AM, our area had a 3.1 eq. Oct 26, 2020, I heard - Biden Harris July 31,2021 I heard - Stay in the Word. Aug 1, 2021, I heard - Do not fear what is coming. Aug 9, 2021 - Surge. Isolate. In 2019, I heard - famine and plague. Jan 26, 2021. Heard - War is coming Shawna. Better prepare. Prophesy. Jesus gives the best love ANYWHERE! If you want to accept Jesus, admit you are a sinner (we all are), believe in Jesus and that He came in the flesh and that He died for you (well worth it), call out to Him to save you. Just say - Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart, forgive me for my sins. I believe. He actually had a nurse practitioner do hisabscess from shotty repair to his spleen as a result to another messing up his simple surgery. he’s been in the hospital and out of the hospital with multiple drains he’s lost so much weight he looks like he’s dying and we believe he might be. Nobody claims to be entitled to awesomeness and healthcare but the system was built over the years and years and yes good people are entitled to good care. They sure want to charge enough for it and then claim they’re broke. And the reason that broke is because of Obamacare which could’ve been prevented and they all said this was gonna happen because government cannot do anything right remember that. The problem could’ve been solved by lowing cost the same way we do anything in any industry is by allowing insurance companies to compete in different states which we do not do right now. When the market is competitive people save money and ultimately that is how you build industry even if that industry is healthcare. You don’t get the government involved who is slow to pay and won’t pay a certain amount. You let the insurance companies fight it out. But because they are not competing in different states they get to determine everything how much everything they’re gonna pay how much you’re gonna have to pay which is a lot and it just goes on and on. By the way I took care of my parents. I never let them go anywhere because it was me and my honor to do that and I miss them so much

I’ve been a teacher for 23 years. From school closures, distance learning, staggered schedules, return to class with masks and social distancing, poor attendance, addressing students emotional needs and stresses, policing hand washing, taking student temperatures, determining who’s sick and who’s not, AND still teaching grade level curriculum - I’m exhausted. I’m working harder than I have ever worked. I don’t have the luxury of getting sick. My students need me. There are no subs available. I was an RN for over 30 years. I finally had to quit because of my spine deteriorating and the onset of severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. You wouldn't not believe the people who approached me , wanting me to care for their loved ones . When I told them I could do no lifting and I charged this much per hour sitting with people they got very indignant and said they figured I wouldn't mind since I wasn't working and had nothing to do !!!!!!! I have plenty to do! I have family I want to spend Holidays with since I had to work all those Holidays for years! I have a couple of hobbies I want to spend some time on when I was too exhausted to do when I worked! I want to sleep in mornings and stay up late if I want! I want to go take care of myself now since I had no time for myself when I worked! Yes, I loved being a nurse but I am no longer able to do that job!

Holding your urine getting UTIs and never leaving after 12 hour shift because they always ask you to stay or others haven't completed their work so it falls on the nurse to complete it for those patients. Very seldom did I ever get out on time. After 13 hours they still want you to stay or mandate you! Yes John, We were ALWAYS worked short. Call outs never being replaced so you end up with 44 patients on one nurse or 15 on a cardiac monitored unit. Way too much. They just DONT care! Hope it gets better. She said nothing, although I wanted so much to hear her voice. I blinked, and she was gone. Thank you!!! I am an RN and I am glad someone is saying this! I have been a nurse for 40 years! It has completely changed! Yes- no food, no bathroom breaks, no anything breaks.. and you have to be a clone to manage everything that happens all at once constantly... And nobody gets it- not administration, not patients. All the money goes somewhere else... who knows? And patients are sicker- multiple comorbidities. Fewer patients would be better but it will never happen. 12 hour shifts?? Nothing good about it . Dayshift 7A-7P is horrendous and night shift is exhausting: the first day you work you worry you won't be able to sleep so you don't and the day you are off you sleep all day because you worked the night before. Sorry- you never adjust. Never. Older nurses all seem to have bad knees, bad backs, lack of adequate sleep can increase chances of dementia .....all kinds of health problems.. It is not a good life. Mostly thankless. I know, I have done this for forty years. But why? My patients all seem to ask when I will be back... they worry that I won't be their nurse the next day.. Somebody told me, " Oh, none of the other nurses told me that or taught me about this...."... or " You are funny- you should be a stand up comedian.., " ( a lot of people say that which surprises me..) So, for me, I guess this is the reason I stick with it. My patients all want me to come back..🤷‍♀️

And the Nursing Staff really got to know me after seeing me so many times. And we became really close . And I wasn't just another person in a room or in ICU. I was a friend or family member. And the last 2 1/2 years were the worst and I was the most afraid. But I'm still here and it's not because of the Doctors. It's because of the Nurses and Respiratory Tech's. Those are the people who made sure that I was getting everything I was supposed to have. And who had to Ventilate me two different times and keep watch over me. They're the ones who heard my name as the person coming in by Ambulance. WOW! I agree. I study Numerology. In Numerology, 2023 is the Universal Year of 7. John Edward mentions it and says the word "Evaluate" should be used this year. Seven is God, introspection, awareness, questioning the status quo and searching for the truth. People tend to be closer to their faith, praying and meditating more as well.

This was by far the best podcast I have ever seen! In March 2021 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I worked as a CNA / rehab aide for over 14 years at the same hospital. I took medical leave and was floored that my Nurse Supervisor Director of Nursing not once called to see how I was doing let alone send a card. What an eye opener that was that we are all expendable. The hospital " terminated" me exactly one year from my leave. A few of my co- workers have stuck by me since the beginning. It's now 22 months later. You are spot on about healthcare attitudes in this podcast. Thanks so much.

The "owners of the healthcare system i work for state that pts. Come first. "INSPIRE HEALTH. SERVE WITH COMPASSION.. BE THE DIFFERENCE." WE ALL try to do this as caregivers. You are so right with the guilt provoking. You're gonna leave your friends short, it's Christmas and sue has small children. She neds the day off. You're not being a team player. Yadayadayada. They take everything from you. Especially during Covid. WE HAD TO STEP UP. Barely a thank you. After 33 years i had nothing left and needed back surgery. Thank you for that too to all the places I've worked. I have retired. I'm only 62. I loved most of my pts. And what i did but I'm glad it's over. I will never again hear, " your working short today. You'll have to pick up 2 pts. Care in addition to giving meds, doing treatments, watching your staff. Charting, care plans, inservices. There's no time to do all that!! Media is out right lying about facts. We seen our negative covid test changed to positive's and when we confronted management we were told we couldn't do anything and better to let it go. I’ve been a nurse for 44 years and I’m getting tired. Not from 12-hour shifts, but from work overload while there. We have a legal right to refuse to take more patients than we can care for, but there are consequences when you refuse. If we happen to luck out and have enough RN’s and CNA’s on a shift someone always gets pulled to another unit. I only ever wanted to take care of sick people, but I’ve been reduced to technician status where I can only give meds, chart, clean and turn people when needed. There’s no time for the listening and the hand holding anymore. We don’t even have time to bathe them! And I feel those things are sometimes as important as almost anything I can do for a patient. It grieves me terribly and breaks my heart.

I have nor seen a medical doctor since covid started. I weaned myself off BP meds, cholesterol, meds. , and any others I was on. I now only use herbal supplements. I feel so much better. My BP is better than when I was on the harsh meds. I am not telling others to do as I did. I did this for myself and to take control of what goes in my body. I got tired of meds always being pushed. I had spent 10 days in the hospital when my blood pressure bottomed out. The internal doctor took me off a lot of meds I was on and said I didn't need them. Most honest doctor I had seen in years. It was then I decided doctors will not make money off my body. Too many people are over medicated.

One thing not mentioned was they continually took us out of our positions and put us in positions we have not trained for. Hugely stressful when you are responsible for people and not trained in the specialty and are on a strict timeline. Also, he is right about the Non-Profits in Medical who pay themselves huge amounts of money at the top that does not have to be published so the public does not know where their donations go; they go to management and non-profits are not taxed. Huge scam.

100% Correct. I've been in Healthcare since 1978. It has gone corporate. Corporations have ruined healthcare. People are dying bc they are poor and no profit in their care and Nurses are not trained across all specialties yet are asked to step in areas they are not familiar with. Corporations Do Not care! No matter how hard Feds try to prevent medical billing theft it goes on. Insurance Companies steal by denying care and running good healthcare professionals away. Healthcare like Education does not Pay well. As a single person with a degree you cant qualify for home in a bad area in most cities. No hospital can function without Nurses. America has no respect for healthcare workers or teachers. The good ones who try to stay are exposed to people who go into fields to get a steady check not a calling. Bad care happens if the wrong people go into healthcare.

Hi. I am a retired Respiratory Therapist. Worked nightshifts for 12 years. I liked the 12 hour shifts, but again it is the work load. You can only do so much safely. The benefits we had weren't to bad but changed over the 12 years. Also we had lousy benefits. If you were sick or in the hospital you had to take vacation time. Then if you called out a certain amount of time, you got fired. Here a story that I know personally happened about 9 years ago to a nurse working at the same place. She was calling out a lot because of a bad shoulder and then headaches. She got a warning not to call out anymore or she would be fired. She called out because her headache was so bad. Then ended up in the ER. She had a tumor in her head. Had surgery and was ready to come home. Needed one last cat scan for discharge. She died on the cat scan table. The place I worked for fired her so her family did not get her insurance. The insurance that pays the yearly salary that she earned. It is really sad that health care workers are not respected by their employers.

I know SO many who were bullied into it, and will say "I just took the one... then they made us get boosted, so only 2..." Some went ALL the way. All had clotting of some kind, and my one friend died suddenly at 41. I refused, and at first I was even fought by my husband, then I said "ask yourself why this is being FORCED, when everything else they scream is: My body, My choice" 🤔 and funny thing is, I was never so suspect before, but every fiber of my being was telling me something was wrong. When we saw all the Dr's & experts being SILENCED, (I'd send him a video and it would have been removed by the time he went to view it) he really woke up & refused it as well. He has been to his PCP several times since, and she finally stopped trying to force it on him, but he did look up to her screen/his profile and it was flagged RED at the top, like WE HAVE A FREE THINKER HERE, BE CAREFUL!!! This was a recommendation on my timeline, so I'll be curious to see what he may have said right so far, but I saw your comment and had to write to you & let you know I'm sending prayers!🙏❤️🙏

I think being more spiritual and the feeling of things need to get stripped down and be real, genuine, and honest. Wow..helping others..animals...our planet..putting others first...I'm tired of the celebrity flaunting of things and money. Put some of that fortune to others. Do good. Help those in need. Wow John...what beautiful nugget about keep the good from past, I did get get divorced but have 3 kids and now 7 grandkids! From a bad experience I gained so much better things!

I have spiritually released many in my life whether family or friends, or relationships, you can spiritually forgive them, say I'm really sorry that its not helping either of us, to say I'm sorry, it isnt working out, I forgive you but think we need to move on with no hard feelings and wish the best. Write it down, then rip it up either symbolically or spiritually and, say, you re sorry but it's not working, but release them to go on their way. Do it in your mind. Many aren't there for your highest good.

My parents are the classic people who say "well he knows because he's the doctor - it's whatever he says." It's been nearly catastrophic a few times. It's so important, particularly as our parents get older, that we go to medical appointments with them so we can tell the doctor things they didn't think of or didn't think were important, etc.

I also think it's incumbent on the medical professionals not to disregard the patient's feedback. A friend of mine has severe ulcers and lots of meds have made it worse, but they've insisted on using the same treatment and just watching it worsen and decline despite him saying it's clearly not helping, or that he feels worse. They insist they know best.

My husband and I noticed sometimes it feels like we shouldn't even bother getting out of our car. It feels like we should just throw out the window our money and keep on going. The stupid stuff said. Nobody wants to figure things out anymore. Just throw pills at symptoms. And yes, we see burn out as well. We've already figured out some of our health issues with Google.

I tell doctors who get defensive if I ask questions, did you know it is harder to get into Vet School than to get into Medical school! Vets have to know more ! They have to have a larger knowledge base! What works for a dog doesn't work for a cat ,or a horse or a goat ,or a cow! It shocks MD's ! And I walk away laughing ! Vets also seem more caring and compassionate too! 🤔🤗🐈‍⬛🐈🐶🐕‍🦺🦮🐕🐎🐎🐎🐄🐖🐐

I worked as a nurse for 50 years. Now retired. I am so angry about how nurses are treated. And how they have lost their power. So I am working in getting my license reinstated. And I will support nurses. And I will speak my mind. Whatever happens I’ll do my best. Thank you gif this show. And your Covid info. I agree. This isn’t over yet. It's interesting to learn that in the year 2021, 46,700 people succumbed within two weeks of getting the vax. Millions more have been maimed thru the vax. I will never ever get another vax. I didn't lockdown, didn't mask up, and didn't get the vax. I haven't been sick since I stopped getting the flu vax 10 years ago. I used to get the flu vax as a requirement when I worked in hospitals. I would get the flu every single year regardless.

I like the phrase "I don't think we're aligned (anymore)". I've recently let go of a high school friend who I feel I've lost alignment with. There are other classmates that I'm still in contact with but this particular person lives in what I consider a different realm.

Wow love this. I have found myself pulling away from my best friend, not anything that she's done but I feel like am going through a spiritual awakening and I feel she's very close minded. Maybe it's just me but I feel like my path in life is changing and were not in the same wave.

Female friends that have known them at least 20 years I have found part ways. I would like to see statistics on that because I think you just get tired of putting up with the BS or like and a couple people grow apart. I have a friend now who is become a religion seal it on the scale of everything considered that’s not the worst thing to be but when people want to control everything you say, do, and think and only talk to them about positive things that takes a lot of work, and I don’t like being controlled, so yeah, parting ways sometimes is necessary.

Dear ones, I have been a nurse for 46 years and everything John said is true. Corporate health care( I worked for Kaiser and UCSF and Sutter as well as the humanistic Mt. Zion Medical Center that went bust.) is a huge money making business that exploits health care workers and does not always serve it’s patients. Nurses are particularly vulnerable as we are ‘Nightingalized’ in nursing school. Thank you for giving this information on your platform.

Wonderful program! I just retired after 45 years of nursing. 31 years in my last position. 12 hour shifts are a life saver when you work nights. 7 on 7 off perfect schedule. Administration does not respect staff. Not just nurses . Insurance companies, big pharma and our government ruined the health care system. You are right Nobody will safe you. Not just patients but staff

12 Hr shifts are dangerous. No one should work Twelve hrs in a Hospital. I worked as an RN in several countries and NEVER worked a 12 hr shift. When I got Registered in California I refused and retired. I was 65 and had worked nearly fifty years. I was offered a job in the OR, twelve hr shifts, on call all weekend. I told them where to put that offer and haven’t worked in America. Im not that stupid.

@@gdr55 12 hours is not bad at all i say better than 8 hours. I work 3 days a week only after working 4 days 10 hr shift and longer plus on call. Money is not everything when youre so tired . Cant wait to leave the system.

We’re meant to take care of ourselves. Much love to all being helping in anyway they can! But it’s time we wake up and realize our power and true possibilities of the human being. We all have to start being accountable for ourselves. Know thyself❤

John, I am a 78 year old man in very good health, but, in Nov. last year I fell & broke my right hip & was hospitalized for 15 days. Even though I had been out of the hospital for 45 days my goal for Jan & each succeeding month was to fully recuperate as I am by myself & have no one else to help me or that I can depend on. At the end of each month this year (2023) I have looked back at the preceding month & determined how far I had progressed which has been phenomenal & the physical therapists that were working with me released me about 1-1/2 months early. I owe this to my faith in God & my determination to recuperate, I thank God each day for helping me & giving me the will to succeed
