I like Marie. She is cute, funny, and I can deal with the emo thing. She works well with the rest of the group, though scenes are limited. Nice to see them all hang out at the end of her main story chain. And yes, she is clearly waifu material, but I feel at the time Golden is set it would actually be a bad idea for her to get into a romance. I feel at that time what she needs are friends, and a romance would actually confuse matters more for her. But, Dancing all Night and later, its fgame on.

Everyone says that Yosuke is the 'i'll die for you' friend, but no one mentions that Marie takes that up to 11 when it comes to the hollow forest since she was resolved to die for the entire group. Anyways, going through her social link by playing p4g was a lot different from watching let's plays. There were details about her SL that I only realized when I played the game. She wasn't as rude as rumours made her out to be, she was just awkward in her interactions overall. And yes she could have been implemented better but I still enjoyed her interactions with the Investigation Team overall. I also appreciated seeing Yukiko's talks about friendship and spending youth with Yosuke challenged her thinking of 'there is no truth to find' without saying it to her face. And her social link ending with her choosing to focus on memories present and future over her past was a strong choice. And yes the poetry is bad but that's the point. She's trying to awkwardly figure herself out and the only means she has is her poems.

I just finished playing P4 Golden. And I am glad I chose Marie as my romantic interest. The title is just pure fact though. Besides, nothing wrong with fixing the marriage between Izanami anr Izanagi eh?

I like Marie and I will always defend her existence in Golden. Her implementation to the main story, considering how important she is in the grand scheme is shitty ngl, but I really do like Marie as a character, not my favorite, but certainly not the worst. I can't help but feel I felt robbed of her development though since they add all that in the Golden Anime instead in the game itself.

I know that most people like "perfect" waifus like Kasumire or Makoto or Naoto but Marie's awkwardness and social inept are really charming for me, like Yusuke and Akechi. I always laugh when these characters are on screen.

Don’t really like Tsunderes but Marie’s alright namely cause she’s just verbally Tsundere and not super violent. She also turns pretty deredere after the last dungeon.

Let's be real here, despite all our personal preferences and "best girls", in the P4 era, Marie is Yu's canon end game and honestly, I'm personally fine with that. Unlike most I did like her character and enjoyed how she went from annoying Tsundere, to distressed lost girl to playfully wholesome and natural. I enjoy how deeply connected she is with Yu, how she teases Rise, and the vibe she adds to the atmosphere of the storyline.

I think she's okay. The whole tsundere thing makes her come off as the elegant/cool little sister who idolizes their brother though lol Like Mikyuki(Mahoka), Akiha(Tsukihime), and especially Noel(Blazblue) with the poetry thing lol.

Me: I don't like over the top Tsunderes, they are getting annoying Also Me: *plan on dating Marie in my first playthrough of P4G*

While in none of the persona series is there a "Cannon Waifu" There are characters that the story pushes the player to interact with. Like Makoto in P5 or Rise in P4. HOT TAKE HERE: Marie is one of them and To be honest I like her a whole lot better than Makoto.

I never understood why people hated her,her poetry and tsunderness was annoying occasionally,but she grew. She’s fun and airy and if those traits i mentioned weren’t as prominent she’d easily be more people’s wives. She’s pretty great and has a good design and I like her a lot!
