This was such a beautiful scene with Marilyn and I have never seen it before. She had a really good voice and she is just stunning and gorgeous in that outfit. People never gave Marilyn enough credit for her singing, dancing and Acting abilities.

Бесспорно, многое было дано Мэрилин от природы. Но не все красивые актрисы становятся Мэрилин Монро. Эта женщина была очень умна и владела умением преподать себя так, что даже президенты не могли остаться равнодушными. "У женщины есть два вида оружия: слезы и косметика. И пусть первым вы будете пользоваться как можно реже. А вторым - каждый день, так как настоящими женщинами не рождаются, а становятся", так она говорила.

I was not alive then,but seeing her with Sophia Loren at the dining table with her blouse far low during meal, is something Marilyn would not have done. Marilyn did not need to do such antics to flaunt her sexuality. I know she got playful,like with wind up her gown from street grate,but just was different than Miss Jane. Not comparing either or insulting. Did Jane M have vocal ability? A special free minded charm she possessed it would seem.

Don't get me wrong, I think that the voice plays an important part in the music itself, but the music itself doesn't need vocals. In those times, the voice STARTED to dominate the music in general, 'cause there wasn't anything interesting in the sound. Classical music didn't need a woman or a men singing. The instrumental is way more important than the voice, without the sound, the songs will be just ... acapella or somethin'. And we souldn't even talk about lyrics, 'cause they're nothing. You could say "but without the lyrics, the voice wouldn't exist in music", yeah, but our voice can make plenty of sounds, without the lyrics ... it wouldn't make sense, but it could work. What I'm trying to say, is that music can work just fine without someone's voice, simple.

Ничего не помогло.. так и ушла, никем не понятная, никем не любимая...

Audrey Hepburn song Moon River and she could have sung the songs in My Fair Lady, but she got cold feet and Marni Nixson did it for her. I have listened to the recordings of Audrey for My Fair Lady and she actually had a good voice.

Yes, haunting, nostalgic, a bit sad but beautiful. I agree. I was also reminded of that scene of Audrey playing the guitar in the window singing “moon river”. Even though both of them often got dubbed on the soundtrack etc., I always felt like their emotions made their own raw versions the best versions of these songs.

One of my favorite Marilyn performances. Love the movie, love the song. And she sings the title song, "River of No Return", plus a couple more tunes. With an injured ankle!

Marilyn Monroe was soo beautiful. she looks like a goddess. She was before my time, but I still admire her. She sings in a place so full of smoke, that if she wasn't dying in her mysterious death at a young age, she could have died of a lung cancer. Efrat Israel.🍍
