This is so so sad, my thoughts go out to all the yacht owners who's boats have been lost and the marina staff who have worked so hard to build the marina and business over the last decade, a very sad day indeed.

Stunning you just don't expect to see that in uk, but the practice of leaving boat in the water and masts up on land over winter was going to cause big trouble sooner or later?

Do you know how much damage was done to the boats on land in the marina?

Sucks when the ocean says, "take your stuff back."

Very sad. I used to live near there and kept a boat there, on trots those days. Fortunately we used to take them out of the water for the winter months.
