This is my cover of an incredible song by Slash called Anastasia. I used a backing track in this cover so the original guitar sound is cut off. This song was actually quite difficult for me to learn (especially the long solo) but I tried hard and put all my heart into this cover. I feel nervous and really hope you like it. Thanks for watching.

No question, the middle-east theme blended in there is nothing short of a masterpiece. This is my favorite cover by far of this, she has the groove like noone else who covered it, just like in her muse covers.

haha is quite easy when you are an experimented guitarrist, I got to play Anastasia when I was 13 years old but the last solo was difficult to me, I could finally play it when I was 15. Just practice a lot and you'll see :)

***** by the way, Niko's cover was the first one that inspired me to start learning this song! he's a great player, better than me, no doubt. but still the sound quality isn't very good (I mean he plays along the original song, not the backing track so you can hear also Slash's solo guitar and the acoustic part sounds bad). Yeah I agree with you that I get so many views and likes because I'm a girl. But you can't even imagine how many haters I have because of that. I'm not to blame that I was born as a girl..

***** That´s not a reason to dislike... She does a fine work, not matter her gender. It´s wrong to give her a thumb up due to the fact she is a woman. On the other hand Niko is great at playing slash´s songs, but not that much creating his own solos. That´s my opinion.

Какими словами выразить удовольствие, которое получил от этого спектакля звуков?... Затрудняюсь... Лайкнул - без вопросов. Но бездушный лайк не выразит всей глубины благодарности музыканту за те минуты, которые мы с ним пережили, вспоминая каждый что-то из своей жизни. Я так понимаю: есть мелодия, а есть её интепретация. То есть, свободная трактовка базового материала данным музыкантом на основе личного мироощущения. И там, внутри себя, каждый видит мир по своему. Через радости, которые помогли выжить. Mika Sihite never judge progress or talent by time or age. The efficiency, how you practise and how often you practise will effect it more than anything. Someone who practises well for 2H a day will improve more in a year than a person who plays 2 a week for 4h each session will in 10 years. Set small goals and rock on, your guitar journey will bring you to anastasia closer than you expect!

Don' t worry pal. I've been an addict to brown sugar for the greater part of my whole life. I only turned away from that stuff about 20 years ago and went straight and sober. Marina might be a bit more destructive, i guess. High Five for your effort and keep on keepin' on. I still have made a career in the musicindustrie. I guess as a musician they just let you get away with whatever bad habits you've got because they love what your doing on stage. Still sober i do have at least double the fun i used to have back then stoned out, alsmost in coma. I wonder how i could do the things i did in that state, but i did. ❤😊 love you brother!

defunctt I agree with you, but this chick is actually pretty good. Most of the videos' I've seen of women playing guitar they play mediocre-ly and get a ton of likes and shit based on her gender, but even if a guy was playing this I'd be impressed.

I have spent many hours comparing Marina's version of Anastasia with everyone else daring to put their cover of this song on the Internet. She crushes everyone, male or female. Now what has happened to this magnificent guitarist. Can't find anything current. If she quit because of the ignorant 2,800 dislikes, it's a waste of her incredible talent.

I think saying someone is talented is a blatant disrespect of their hardwork you're basically saying that you were born witg this and didnt do anything for it which is not the case with most people

Best cover I've head of this song...... ever. Currently learning it and it is a particularly hard to song to master so Well done to you. Gave me goose bumps during the second solo 😂

I don't want to be a critic, I think you played it very well, but you should try and work on keeping your fingers closer to the string when you change position and note, it's better practice and will eventually allow you to play much faster, you won't get as tired easily. If you watch some of your favourite players you'll see that they do this.

if you watch some of the best guitar players they have the "supposed" WORST technique. and they can play fast and clean... Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Hendrix, Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael A. Batio... they all have xtrange techniques
