Stefan came from a family of military service and felt joining the Marines was his calling. However, the loss of a friend during deployment and the transition back to civilian life left Stefan feeling uncertain about his purpose. He sought mental health treatment and was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Now, open conversations in therapy and hobbies like wakeboarding help him maintain his mental and physical health.
