So many trips through there over 40 years with dad and my siblings out exploring Eastern Oregon and Central Washington (such great memories). I think it was the Eastwind Caffe there to the left at 1:15--an always-stop! Shad fishing, buying fresh salmon from the Indians who still fish there... Next visit I'm staying over for a night.

We did a dinner cruise on that paddle wheeler, was a nice time. I kept waiting to see my brother in law walk by you. Lol

We camped here a couple of years back - in the spot just to the East of you! We loved everything about this place - met a couple of really nice guys in an Airstream in your spot, chatted with a bunch of PCT hikers, our Lab swam at the launch ramp, excellent lunch at the brewery just down the road - it was awesome! And full... what time of year were you there or have so many empty sites? Saw a Rpod in your video - that is what we have!

Hey Russ. Absolutely love your videos always have. One suggestion would be to take a moment to scroll by each of the clipboards or story boards. That way we can just pause the frame and read the info on them.

at 1:07 the gas station to the left i stopped there one day on the way to the dalles we were doing a job over there for the whole week since we are from mcminnville, i stopped to get gas and use bathroom, and my co worker went down alil further to that lil ice cream building just up a few on the left, haha i was like man this area looks familiar haha

Great video. We never stopped at Cascade Locks except for gas or food. Great picture of the bridge. You can see how a forest fire can travel fast because of the gorge winds.

Hi Russ ! One thing for sure.. If you see a low bridge.. 12 Feet !!! You should let everyone know... Most RV's will not make it.. I checked on Google Earth.. My RV is 12.7 ! and, What a drag to have to back up that road !!! Nice Video but,,,,,,, 10 minutes is TOO SHORT ! Rest Up ! Talk Soon !

They removed the dam and locks, so now the river runs free. Looks like a nice place to fish or get married? DUH. I want to think about that a little. Happy trails.

You have the dirty dozen, Then you have the curse of they unlucky 13. Speaking of the dirty my dead grandfather was a 1%er biker with a diamond on his tombstone. You would think he was someone his young grandson's could use to reflect on and have someone and something to look up too! Long story short mentioning anything about him and what he was a part of ain't benefited me at all if anything it's put a target on me ever since I was a kid by the cop's and for all the wrong reason's! That's why in the year 2036 I'm going to make my X it and moon walk the funk out on everyone. He He!
