Thank you Buska. So good to see this in contrast to the hate marches.

This was lovely, so nice to see a gathering of sane, decent, respectful people in honor of those who gave their life in service. Something those hate gatherings don’t understand or care about. What a welcome change in spite of the serious nature.😻❤️

Thank you for this Buska!!! There were 3 generations of Royal Marines in my family. My Dad, his Uncle and his Great Uncle. I always get very emotional when I see the Royal Marines. My Dad served in WWII with Harry H Corbett and as he requested, he is buried at sea, off Spitbank Fort in The Solent. He lies in peace forever with his mates who served with him..in the sea where he was most happy. He had the most mischievous streak a mile wide. He would wake myself and my brothers and sisters up at 7:00am on a Sunday with the record of The Band of The Royal Marines..Life On The Ocean Wave!!! I can still hear the grones now!! 😅😅😅 xxxxx

Hotest day of the year so far, good to see troops checking on cadets and others, water at the ready.

Thank you Buska. I feel sorry for marines in full uniform even gloves no where for heat to escape when standing still in the hot sun. You are very respectful for a very solemn ceremony for the past Marines who died while serving their country in wars. . Thank you very sharing. The care the officers were passing out water removal of hats to try to keep the marines from fainting from the heat. You said some did faint. They are so young. Is it Black Sunday for all the serving branches to honor their war dead? Someone filmed the Kings House hold Calvary and The Coldstream Foot Guard. Duke of Edinburgh Prince Edward attended. Many regiments passed by him.

R.i.p to all the military who have died fighting for us. Sadly, we will never be free. Everyone wants power and when they get it never seem to use it appropriately. I think many wars could of been avoided if there was decent people in charge.

During the war at sea my father hearing guns in the distance going off was always afraid he would end up in Davie Jones locker As many of his mates went..

Just for clarity, the youngsters that are in view here (where some were overcome with the heat) are Royal Marine Cadets, not regular Royal Marines so not at all accustomed to long events like this.

The RM Cadets are coeducational, hence the young ladies present with the gents. Anyone know if ladies are in other areas of the RM, besides the Band Service?

What a shame people just cannot show respect by being quiet at such moments. The British can be very ignorant!

Poor Cadets, they haven't quite got the mental stamina just yet.....

I am reminded of Winston Churchill’s response to Bessie Braddock “Madam, you are ugly but I shall be sober in the morning”.

Those uniforms are hot and they’ve been participating most of the day. While my experience with parades is not comparable to theirs, I did participate in the high school marching band and several lengthy parades in hot SW Florida temperatures in the 90’s and I can definitely empathize with the difficulties of staying at attention and upright! Major respect to all of these soldiers in their uniforms that are no doubt wool based fabric, that’s torture in this heat!
