L/Cpl Knowltons, when my son enlisted, I told him, "Our relationship is going to change. We'll still be father and son but it will be different. We'll both be Marines". At his graduation, the first thing I did was shake his hand and say, Welcome aboard Marine". His response, "Thank you Sergeant...dad". Then he softly said, "Dad, I know what you meant, we're Marines". From an old Marine to new Marines, Semper Fi!

Jonathan Flores Almost no one shoots better than me , but my two sisters who were in the Marine Corps especially my sister Maureen , can shoot. Before Maureen retired from the police force as Sergeant Detective, she was the best marksman on the FORCE OUT OF OVER 80 cops on the FORCE !!!!

I am a stickler for detail. The emblem anchors always point forward. I saw a video of an officer with his emblems reversed as well to his NFL cheerleader girlfriend. I always pay attention to boots having their black emblems in the wrong direction. It never happened to me; not once. Nov 1983 MCRD San Diego.

Very cool to have a sibling experience the same thing. Me & my older brother both are Marine's. I graduated Boot Camp the day he EAS'd. We both went 03xx, he was 0352, and I was 0311 him with 2/1 Wpns Co. me with 3/7 ICo. He gave me a lot of good advice, that helped me out. And like this video states we are brothers 2 fold, and the Marine Brotherhood is probably more important to us.

I don't understand when did we start wearing the EGA outboard, and what gets me is no one, marines, vet marines, drill instructor, film crew, or his sister pulled him to the side quietly and just said hay check your self. is this the new corps. maybe it would have hurt his feelings.
