Nice job on beating it! Even going wider to do the shortcut doesnt work sometimes. The best one is when you go a little wide like I do l1 and stick all the way through the entire shortcut, it's pretty much just RNG no matter how wide you go.

This version of DS DK pass isn't the Mario Kart DS version, but the Mario Kart 7 version of the track. not to be confused with DK summit!

challange for troy: you use donkey kong and everyone else in the room uses funky and you try to win ( 150cc or 200cc, idk you choose ). Its not that big of a challange but i thought it would be interesting
