Toad clearly is the optimal character for this track due to him being a fun guy.

The WR looks like they missed a low trick and got tilted so they turned around and took a huge jump out of frustration and accidentally found a shortcut.

At the time of me making this expert ghost we didn't even know if the gap shortcut (we like to call it the "funny cut" now) was even faster to do since it spent two mushrooms. I just decided to go with the standard shroom cut 3 times, but I always thought the funny cut would be used in the future. I chose to make it as strong as I could for that reason. Just for the record, the world record holder and I are NOT the same person (Daseia is the name of the WR holder) but his time was the first one to use the funny cut, which basically confirmed its viability. Shoutouts to TacoJosh for making this amazing CT by the way.

I have a feeling this is gonna turn into a mach bike track with it's tighter drift. Unless even mach can't turn quick enough for the log cut

I feel like for this one, maybe you should’ve stuck with the WR ghost to beat the staff ghost. That’s my opinion though. Also, maybe a 1-0-2 shroom strat may work with the shortcut on lap3.

ngl, i think it might be possible to save a shroom on lap one, granted the cost is making a sharper turn to shroom off the log which means youd need a tad more time adjusting, though idk exactly if this would shave off any time as the saved shrrom would be used for the log gap cut again on either lap 2 or 3. its only a theory but idk if there is an invisible wall about the the fallen tree (at least it looks like a fallen tree to me) in the off road which is what could make the sharper turn work. i dont have ctgp myself (yet) so i cant test that theory out myself. if anyone wants to test it then go ahead. other than that, great video troy

Would it be possible to do the massive shortcut with only one mushroom? It looks like they use it to cross the offroad at the end, but if you could somehow get in a position to maneuver around it, does that mean you could do the shortcut every single lap? 🤔
