Happy New Year! In this first video of the year, we’ll be reviewing one of the best mods that FNF has recently received, if not the best. It’s the beautiful Mario’s Madness v2, a mod where we’ll be facing different scary or scattered versions of characters from the Super Mario universe found on the internet. I'm bringing this video a little late, but without many spoilers, I hope you enjoy it anyway!

Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets. Download the game files here.

Fun fact: If you save Mario's Madness V1(or the leaked build of MM V2) on your computer, then “Legacy Mode” will open in V2 (in simple words, you will unlock old versions of songs) Don't thank me and happy new year 🎄❤️✨

Now I'm finally seeing this mod's credits with the background illustrations. On one hand, it's hard to really feel the emotional hit of A Mad World Without You when I'm looking at all of these hilarious illustrations. But on the other hand, now I see where people got the interpretation that the entirety of the mod was fiction within fiction, as the illustrations illustrate the whole thing as a play. M drawing on Boyfriend and Girlfriend, while they're conked out in their Super Mario World costumes. Boyfriend shaking hands and being buddy buddy with Lucas and MX. Turmoil, Mr. Virtual and GB playing dominoes during their break. The corpses of Lucas and Girlfriend actually being props, which Girlfriend doesn't appreciate too much. M, IHY Luigi, and Beta Luigi having to work together to create the illusion of Ultra M. GB admitting defeat after his argument with IHY Luigi from the final trailer. Somari and Pikafriend having a heart to heart, watching the starry skies of MARIO SING AND GAME RHYTHM 9. It's funny, but beautiful at the same time. I still don't interpret end credits pictures as canon to the mod, but I can see where people get the idea. Perhaps it's canon in an alternate universe, rather than the universe explored in the narrative itself.

@@Luca_Dreamcore Wega and Waluigi's Taco Stand: Ideas proposed by controversial members of the dev team who were kicked out of the team, those being BetaSheep and Nova64. Lumpy Super Mario Land: Was going to be in the mod, but the concept was made when the roster of songs was already too full. Dorkly Mario: Only planned for an hour, before being scrapped. Ink Bowser and Jaiden Mario are both unclear as to why they got scrapped.

@@SmokeTheHorsehog Thanks for the information (I wanted to know why) It would be interesting to have a separate mod from Mario Madness with just the disposable characters, each with their own week (maybe not with the entire team from the original mod, just a few)

SMG4 Mario was scrapped for three reasons: - There were issues with spriting him, since he was a series of animations ripped straight out of Super Mario 64, rather than being pixel art like Grand Dad's final phase or Somari, an originally crafted 3D model like Classified Luigi's second phase or the entirety of the You Cannot Beat Us gang, or being drawn like everybody else. - The mod was getting pretty ambitious by the time they scrapped him, as that ambitiousness meant that a lot more time had to be spent on each individual aspect of the mod, and it went through many, many changes throughout development in regards to music, character designs, or mechanics within the songs and outside of the songs. Sure, they took as long as they needed to finish the mod, but just how much time was being spent on a total of around 30 characters led to some other characters getting scrapped, likely including that of Ink Bowser, Jaiden Mario, and Lumpy Super Mario Land. - The team planned SMG4 Mario because he was a highly requested character, not because they actually wanted to see him in the mod. Heck, the team unanimously hated SMG4, so they were glad to scrap him.

@@SmokeTheHorsehog i AM NOT joking dude i really don't know the reason , the few reasons i can think of why some people hate him IS because now he give lore to pointless characters nobody asked like the inkling girl or the watermelon girl ( although they ARE kinda decent ) or that he changed the humor of his series or because of his redesign

Sadly no. I used to struggle with a Mac as well and such. The best I can recommend is if you wait until someone makes a psych engine port that you can bring to base FNF with all the songs in tact. It sucks rn but hopefully when the next Funkin update comes the programming would allow modding for Mac to be more accessible. Stay strong.
