Haven't played the game, but from context clues i think the intended way to find the hidden blocks is by playing as specific characters. I think the hidden blocks become visible when specific characters come close, allowing certain characters to find specific parts more easily

It was funny seeing you guys struggle aswell finding the moveable pipe. I searched with my brother forever to find that last one aswell. In the end we went into online mode and kept searching with other people until somebody found it. I think this level is specifically to try push the online feature, I really liked it.

I discovered the main channel Alpharad through the original playthrough of Super Mario bros U deluxe, Jo became my favourite out of everyone. So for Jo to be revisiting his role as nabbit is the purest amount of joy I've had in forever

i just realized what the character blocks are. hidden blocks that reveal themselves to you if you are playing as the character on them. me and a friend were playing and one of us was yellow toad and we found the one coin thing really easily but now i see where the difficulty in that can happen if you dont use that specific character.

I always have the internet connection on, we had 4 people running around like lunatics for about 10 minutes then someone pushed the pipe. They placed a standee right where the block is (which looks odd cos floating standee) which is how I noticed you can push the pipe. I then did the same for the remaining ghost and we all left together, online feature is great!

As far as non-spinoff games go, the only games I can think of where Bowser is NOT an antagonist would be Super Mario Land 1 (Tatanga) and 2 (Wario), and potentially Super Mario RPG, the later Paper Mario series, and the Mario & Luigi series (if you don't count their scripted fights in the RPG/M&L series)
