That’s actually really smart. With that many characters, it can be harder to differentiate family and friends, so you can tell if people are related, by their names. Unfortunately, I am stupid a probably won’t be able to tell anyways.

It kinda reminds me of when creators make a mechanism for important characters. Take tmnt where your main four are named after artists, a love interest is named after a famous painting to match with them, and then Splinter and Shreddar are enemies and their names come from destroying something, (Splinter got his name for breaking wood), hence they both want to destroy something, each other. Dreamworks Bad Guys has a mechanism where it’s important cheaters are most animals. The main bad guy group, the love interest, the villain of the movie.

i love this because this is exactly what i did with all the imaginary families I'd invent as a kid. ive realised more as I've grown up (and as I've gotten my autism diagnosis lol) that i like decisions to have logic, I'll always try pick the most logical thing especially for stupid stuff where it really doesn't matter, and giving them all a naming convention like this is exactly one of the ways kid me did that
