@@dutchcoasters_ they weren’t being specific enough… SMB2 (USA version) released in 1988. Japan’s Mario 2 (a different game) came out much earlier in 1986. SMB 3 released in Japan in 88 and 1990 in the US.

I miss when Mario and Luigi didn't have realistic details on their overalls, caps, mustache, and hair from Odyssey onwards that only works in the Super Smash Bros games and The Super Mario Bros Movie

I remember playing Mario when I was little on my Atari 2600 on my donkey kong games. I had all the donkey kong games. When I got the nes I was thrilled 2 get super mario Bros. I've been a Mario and a Nintendo fan ever since and I played and bought all the Mario game 4 every home Nintendo console ever since. Super Mario 3d world will always b my favorite cause I 💘 it how Mario turns into a 🐱 and says meow at the flagpole. My favorite kart game is double dash. I hope that Nintendo will add GameCube as part of the online services. I miss playing those great Mario game. It's me Mario. Go Mario. Mario rules. I 💘 all Mario game.

The real gap: from sm64 to Sunshine. Since then, no - actually -significant graphics evolution. Sunshine is still nowadays really great looking.

At that time, it was a masterpiece made by Square and Enix before the merger. It's still popular in Japan, and some distributors are playing it.

There's actially two appearnces of Mario before Super Mario Bros - the original Donkey Kong arcade game and the Mario Bros arcade game.

no one remembers the Mario & Luigi games? They're one of my favorites and are actually better than much games of this list, remember it's just my opnion
