Matt really is The Bard of our century. Such a poet. Until watching critical role and actually doing some research, I never realized how influential this group of nerdy voice actors had been in my life. You guys not only revitalized my love for D&D but made me really appreciate the work of a voice actor. I had no idea how many of my favorite characters from video games and cartoons alike were voiced by you all. If you read this, you’ve really inspired me to want to make a difference in this world.

There is something really anime yet really grounded that Matt is just there professing his love and all his friends are lying on the floor like a video game cutscene. It can be hard to say those things in private, its a real special type of friendship to be able to say those things with all your friends right there listening to every word. These kids give me warm feelings in my heart area.

You know, that was sweet, hilarious and thoughtfully engaging. The view of watching Marisha "blowing her stack" as she was puzzling out the escape room, fighting off the "monsters" (yeah, that big one was Travis for sure), and interspersing it with Matthew proposing to her, down on one knee and pulling out the engagement ring is so reflective of how transparent CR and all of the members as normal friends is so touching. For all the married critters out there, one wishes that all engagements could be recorded as a "engagement do's and don'ts library" so that future generations know that if it is done right, it doesn't matter HOW you do it, it works. I recall seeing a RWBY video from SKR who was at one of the con's from a couple years ago and two cosplay participants were showing off their stuff until one of them got down on his knees and proposed right there. The joy and the happiness was so evident. If I remember which video that was, I will edit this comment and mention it. My own experience of proposing to my then-girlfriend and now wife of 24 years involved lots of Korean soju. The fact that she said "yes" is still amazing for me. Well done Matt. I absolutely LOVE nerdy proposals like this, that was beautiful and adorable. Reminds me of my husband’s proposal to me. I’m a huge NASA nerd and we live just 20 miles from the Johnson Space Center. We went there (during Covid so wearing masks) and he proposed to me in front of the Saturn V rocket. He blindsided me, I thought we were there celebrating my dad’s birthday (he’s a NASA nerd too - turns out he came along just to record the whole thing!)

Damn it this is the kind of shit we need right now... I'm 45, about to ask the love of my life to be my wife. Got her grandmother's ring, from her mom... This is my 2nd time around and I finally got it all right... She isn't even afraid that she is becoming a step mom to a teenage doy... That is how much she loves me and I love her...
