Some people say they love the Lord, I know it's not so.
When you have a holiness meeting, they refuse to go.

Praise the Lord, I love His power; love Him more each day.
Jesus died upon the cross to take my sins away.

If you say you love the Lord, you would love His signs.
Taking up serpents, speaking in tongues, the Lord says these are mine.

Some preachers they preach holiness, you hear them sing and pray.
They preach about John 3:16, but they throw Saint Mark away.

Mark 16 in the Bible, the 18th verse is true.
If you believe in the Word of God, you'll take up serpents too.

I know alot of people who used to walk and talk with me.
But ever since I took up serpents, they turned their backs on me.
(Verse 6)
I don't chew no tobacco, I don't chew no gum.
If I live right close to God, I'll take up three to your one.
I really like this song. I grew up listening to my mom and dad sing it. Just wanted to share it with the church pictures I had. Hope everybody likes it.

I grew up listening to Sister Mattie Collins sing this! She would sing and speak in tongues and take em up too! I Love the memories i have of the good ole days!! This is my heritage, AND I'M PROUD OF IT!!

I went to a lot of these churches shown in this video and grew up listening to these men preach. my grandparents were Charley and Christine Taylor. I moved 14 years ago and have been to a lot of churches and have not felt the presence of the Lord in any like i did in the ones I grew up in. Thank you for sharing this

This music brings back so many memories late nights of music and shouting. We had some great times. I had a family member who greatly criticized our way of worship and one day he not only criticized me and our ways but did it openly in public. Not long after that his wife found him dead. Doctors could figure out what happened his organs just stopped working all at once. Not long after his funeral his son also passed away and he was only in his 20’s. Moral of the story is don’t condemn the things of God even if you don’t understand them.

love this kind of music! i wasn't raised holiness but i love this way and believe in it! iv tried other churches before but nothing compares! i have had the holy ghost for over a year now, and my wife just recieved the holy ghost friday!!!!

I agree with tori if people would experience a church meeting they might enjoy I can day this from experience my husband did not believe but praise God he has been going to them churches and he wants to handle when the Lord will permit praise God

to Patrick if you ever came to one of our churches you might just find out they are a fine bunch of people who love the Lord and be so good to you, you just might want to come back, and If they took up serpents while you were there under the anointing of God you might want to take one up too :)

thank you so very much for putting the whole song for me to write down, am gonna sing it in our jolo church, please pray for me and my son, and wife i have been saved 15 years but the devil is putting it on me has been for a long time now i no jesus is walking right there with me, and when i reach the top of the mountian i will have more power, i could never tell how bad its been, am a lord jesus precher, and my wife has giving me so much rebuke over this along with my son so i ask that any one who reads this to pray for me. of yes i love the lord to.

Proud to be Father Son Holy Ghost Believer. I read my Bible. DAILY. My Bible says NO man knows when Jesus will return not the Angels in Heaven but My FATHER ONLY. So if Jesus IS the Father why does He not know when He is coming? Just food for thought for those who might not know THE TRUTH. Also when He was dying on the cross He said My God My God why hast thou forsaken me? So if you "Only's" are right He was actually saying myself myself why have I forsaken myself. Read your Bibles and seek God for wisdom DON'T take a mans word for it.....

Jesus is the father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. When he made this statement he was speaking about the flesh not knowing the day or the hour. There is only one God in many manifestations not persons. The trinity is an ugly doctrine that takes away from the beauty of the fullness of Christ.

Dean Bowling I and my father are one and the same, when you see me you see the father! God reconciled man unto "himself", in Jesus flesh! And "the" name of the father, son, Holy Ghost is one name "Jesus", the name above all names! We believe God works in three manifestations, let us create man in our own image and in likeness, not plural but one! Just as I am a father, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin but yet I'm one person with many different actions and titles!

First of speaking in tongues isn't gibberish! Second of all, we're not brainwashed, and third of all you need to go to a holiness church and experience it for yourself. You know nothing about our religion so don't talk about us like dogs ok. God is NOT imaginary ok. He's real and if it wasn't for him then you wouldn't even be here. most of the holiness churches in the southeastern Kentucky area are Father, Son, Holyghost baptizing.

I did it both ways. First with the Father, Son, Holyghost. Then to make sure I did it right, I got baptized in Jesus Name. I baptized my kids at a big revival in JESUS NAME. You should have seen the look on everyone's faces when I didn't say 'father, son, & holy ghost'.

The trinity and Jesus only crowd have always seperated themselves over the Godhead and to me its silly. If you have Jesus you have all 3 because its 3 in 1. Church people fight over silly things at time it hurt the Body of Christ

Proud to be brought up in a mark 16;18 church. Ray Stewart of Lego an terry Morgan of motoka (w.v) We also took up fire as well . Where the Bible mentions he will allow you to quench the very violence of fire. I used to hate going to church….. BUT NOW, but now I miss these old meetings thinking that church would alway be like this…. It’s sad how many people are blinded, ungodly (those who think there saved an not filled with his spirit, are lost… bible says if you make it to the kingdom without his spirt you be binded hand an foot an casted out in to Hell. It really makes me wonder how many are really going to make it to the Kingdom of God. I don’t care if I made it like Job did. But at least I would make it … For those who read this. Pray for my friends son he is in high school with cancer spread through out his body . But we know a higher power Amen . Thank you in advance

seems like people are to worried about each other and what they believe in instead of getting on your knees and opening your heart to god to find out what it takes to get to heaven. I know im not if i dont change my ways but if i prayed right now the way i was raised by my mamaw and papaw lloyd and mattie collins i wouldnt be on here telling you this because this is things of the world . computer ,tv and what time it took me to write this iv, took time away from the lord i do beleive if anybody went to heaven my papaw did and im on the verge of breaking down and cleaning the house out.

We weren't commanded to pick up serpents, we are to praise God and tell the good news of Jesus resurrection and reach the lost! I know and believe Mark 16:17-18 but I know we weren't commanded "too" handle serpents!

this is to stagsns, i am of the lord jesus church in jolo, but i dont believe trinity are the only ones that are gonna be saved, i have found good people in every church i have been to, am from a serpent handling church, the old landmark in jolo, i no you no where its at, its been there for 60 years or more.the mother of the church told me years ago that the spitit spoke to her and said they would come and they would go, and so it has been, god is not the auther of devision.if you are a child of the lord jesus you are a friend of mine, may god bless.

Listen Trinity does not exist.id like to ask u to read what Jimmy swaggart states on Jesus only errous doctrine article on google.im a Jesus name born again christan.my grandpaw Earl Smith was cathlic.god brought him to holliness and he preached God's word and the Lord brought him to handling serpents.In Bigstone Gap VA.80 yrs ago.he is now at rest.my grandmother his wife,God brought her to holliness first from babtist.i have a great testimony.my dads,dad also preached holliness and handled serpents.oh how great our mighty God is.i am truly blessed to have come to know God at such young age.

If he's not the author of division, explain why just among holiness and Pentecostal people there is so much division? Most won't even fellowship with others in their own denomination. Trinitarians are divided and can't worship together here. Same for Apostolics. So much division! They won't even fellowship with their own! Nothing but division.

The reason them men of God can take up then serpent is because the Lord has moved on then to do so. However, if anyone no matter who it is tries to do so out of the will of God then they’ll surely get bit. But don’t worry, if you know the it’s the Lord who is moving on you to take out the snake box you won’t get bit, he’ll shut the mouth of that snake.

There's something very special happening in this place. God bless every one of you! I first sought out 'snake handling' churches when I read about the reverened Saylor in Ft. Wayne. I discovered Gospel Hill church, which is a Holy Ghost power house, but they don't handle serpents. Had to drive all the way to the mountains to find one. Are there any in Indiana? Ohio? Northern KY?

I was baptized the first time the usual father, son, and holy ghost way. Then after bible college, I decided to do it again, but in Jesus name, because that's what it says to do. I baptized my kids in Jesus name.

Most holiness folks baptize in the name of the father,the son and the Holy Ghost. It says somewhere in the end of the book of matthew (srry I don’t know exactly where) to baptize that way.

I've never been around taking up serpents you don't really see that sort of thing in Kansas City Kansas and you don't see holiness amongst Pentecostal here just stay close to the Holy Ghost I feel alone here since our church split and closed and most of the Holiness Pentecostal churches have moved out of our area

These are trinitarian/Holiness. Some others in different areas are Jesus Name/Apostolic. Its just like tounges, laying hands on the sick or anything else in Pentecostal type churches. Different beliefs on Godhead do it. Its always been like that. Church of God Cleveland, TN used to. It not a "denomination," or one particular church, but took/takes place wherever there were people who read or heard, "they shall take up serpents," literally believed and desired to do that. Hope that helps.

Richard Dawkins should go to this church. sorry Its too late this year. But homecoming day is always the third Sunday in August and the church is off hwy 38 between Harlan and Evarts. If you ever decide to come and want more specific directions, Let me know. Id be glad to help you

Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. If you people got so much faith get out there and pray for for the sick to healed lets see how many is healed. Anybody can play with a snake. i know a sinner who does it . Lot of sinner people do it. Paul the apostle didnt play with no snake it come out of the wood and bite him on the hand he didnt play with and tell the people look what i can do. he shuck it off into the fire, When you play with fire youre going to get burn.

1 Corinthians chapter 14:2 does not agree with you. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh "not unto men" but unto God: for "no man" understandeth him;howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. Read the whole chapter and pay attention to the verses dealing with tongues. 1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and "angels" Spanish? 1 Corinthians 12: 1-10 Interpretation of tongues is a "spiritual gift" to interpet when someone speaks in a spiritual language, (angelic tongue?) On the day of Pentecost they spoke in "other" tongues that the people understood and did not need an interpreter.

So foolish for someone to post such ignorant comments about what our mighty god can do, I beleive the bible said he chose the foolish things to confound the wise so what is foolish to you is glorifying to god, And furthermore you say its not in there why dont you pray and seek the lord so that you wouldnt have to see but you could here the lord.
