I honestly think if you're cited for eye gouging you should be automatically banned, and have criminal charges filed against you...It's interesting that people can commit very serious, and dangerous assaults on a sport's field and not go to court...but eye gouging..nah, fucking disgusting...they go!

Fitting the stereotypical American outlook I have never watched rugby. Randomly ran accross these clips and it is savage. I love it. Of course I didn't like the 'sighting' bit of it but wow. What an interesting game. I applaud how thorough the refs are in their discussion and assessment of penalties. Wish American sports were just as transparent. This new fan will be watching tons of rugby videos. Cheers.

Strange when rugby was amateur status there was none of what you get now so much thuggery when there is more coverage to get you sent off . in fact they now do it right in front of refs and linesmen not to mention mouthing it to refs

If brains were dynamite Austin Healy wouldn't have enough to blow off his cap. Eye-gouging is a serious offence and needs to be dealt with in a serious manner so that it gets stamped out of the game (and stamping, don't get me started on that).
