Absolutely! When that "other band" has to hire a singer AND extra guitar guy to fill Farner's shoes you know they ain't got the goods!

Agreed, Don Brewer, Mel Schacher are not Grand Funk, they screwed Farner to grab the group for themselves by 'firing' Mark and throwing him out of the group. Sad part, Farner wrote all the hit tunes for the group, the rest wanted him out in order to grab full control of the group for the money?

Farner IS Grand Funk Railroad. Still kicks ass like he did in the 70’s. First saw them in Flint, MI, 1970-71. I also like to see him playing one guitar and not having to change his guitar with every song like so many other “ rock stars” find it necessary to do. Rock on, Mr Farner!

That live album was at one time many snows ago my all time favorite live album, this tune is simple but it rocks, that live album changed my life, then they changed and broke my heart! At one time Mark Freaking Farner had THE COOLEST HAIR ON THE PLANET!

The audience reaction singing along and knowing all the lyrics demonstrates how much influence American rock music has had on other audiences around the world over the decades. Mark still HAS it!! Wish I could have been there in person for this. Fantastic!!

Strange as it sounds and oddly too, the chileans are very much into GFR. Much than any other acts that impacted other South american countries. Chileans are really into GFR. And of course, Mark as well.

Damn!! Mark is just ass kicking!! Those women in the crowd..WOW!! He really is just unbelievable. So damn underrated. A friend of mine growing up was a really good guitarist he said playing guitar and singing at the same time was so damn difficult. But he said Farner took it to a different level!! Said he was the best by far!

Grand Funk Railroad in its hey day was one of the best bands in America. Mark Farner is still a fine musician and was the heart of GFR.

I cant help remembering how huge these guys were growing up during the 70's- When every 7-11 had a promo super duper size slurpy with your favorite rock group ! I still have my GFR cup but now it's a pen and pencil holder...

Paranoida fue el primer disco que he comprado en mi vida en el año 1973- 74. ya no recuerdo exacto. y fue porque yo queria Ledzepeling realmente, pero ya no habian. asi que compre paranoida, y no me arrepenti, son unos de mis idolos hasta el dia de hoy. ( 63 Anos ) ahora. En esa epoca habian recien nacido los mejores conjuntos de todos los tiempos. y no habian equipos de musica si no que usabamos los tocadiscos antiguos. y con las radios antiguas a tuvo, pero aun asi sonaban maravillosos.

Always wonder why Mark doesnt come......kinda get the impression that Mark has no love for Britain,it was that stupid british invasion theory that put him off and hes right it was stupid!! I do think his uk fans deserve to see him tho,i hope he realises he has much love in the uk!!!

The recording quality (picture, sound) is not state of the art. But at least I know now that Mark Farner is still active and in as good shape as 1970. My find of the day!

GFR smoothed out their sound decades ago. Mark still has that Knight era edge to him that GFR lost a long time ago. All GFR plays nowadays are the "hits"; and NONE of the old stuff like they did on GF Live. There were NO hits on that chaotic masterpiece.

in Chile we know how to appreciate the great rock musicians. just one example, the best iron maiden live album was recorded in chile

María Loreto, that is in part correct. We do appreciate the great rock musicians, however the Iron Maiden live album was not recorded entirely in Chile. The Flight 666 Album is a compilation of all shows around LA and they have included versions from all countries. For Chile, the song included was in fact, "Iron Maiden". Thank you for your comment ! Yes, as I watched this I was thinking the same. I loved him and GFR from the 70's when I was just 21. Saw them at Shea Stadium in 1971. Mark was my man crush then and still is and I'm now 69 ! Still rocking out ! One of the best on stage and off !

Probably the best Rocker to ever be. He's as good today as when I saw him in 1971 with don and Mel. I've lost all my respect for those two. MARK FARNER was and STILL IS GRAND FUNK RAILROAD!!! You can keep living off of MARK ,don and Mel but you will never have the respect he has.

De nada. Con mi parner hemos visto a Farner 4 veces desde el 2000, así que esta vez nos dimos un gustito. Problema es que estábamos chicha antes de que partiera, así que algunas desafinaciones se oyen por ahí. te ruego difundir el video para que lleguemos a las 2000 visitas!

Been a fan since I'm Your Captain was first released. I can't understand why GFR is not in the Rock HOF and wonder why they don't seem to get the respect they deserve in America. I think if Don and Mel hadn't of fvcked Mark so badly that they would STILL be putting out great music. But this show and many others prove that it is Mark Farner who was the heart and soul of GFR. And these crazy Chileans get it!! Man what a great crowd. Makes me want to go to Chile

Amigo, tengo mi copia autografiada. El problema es q en ese dvd faltan dos canciones esenciales: “we re an american band” y “shinin on”. Canciones que si estan aca!

@@HeinzPeter , Muchas Gracias . Mira no lo sabía . Y esperando las próximas presentaciones de el Gran Marck y su Banda . Pasando éste horror - pandemia , debiera ser todo más normal . Yo estuve el día después de Esa Gran Fecha , aquí fue el 29 de Abril en el Aula Magna de la Universidad Santa María en Valparaiso y estuvo totalmente lleno . También , estuvieron el 2019 por fechas creo que parecidas . Saludos . Nov . 2021 .
