I miss Gibbs, Ziva, Tony and Abby. I know things have to evolve over the years and that the actors go through a grueling schedule filming this show. I'm in that same age group as Mark Harmon, so I appreciate him wanting to enjoy life a little more and work less. No matter who comes on newer episodes, it will never be the same as the original group of actors...they had chemistry and made that show great. Thanks to all for entertaining my family for so many years!

Here in UK many shows have continued successfully without the founding members... but i totally agree, NCIS started the slippery slope when Ziva, then DiNozzo left. Now i am just about to try to watch season 20... the storylines had better be brilliant or its a no. What did Ducky look like when he was young, asked Kate.... Ilya Kuryakin..best line ever!!!

Gibbs, DiNozzo, Todd, McGee, Schuto, Duck, Palmer, Sheppard, David. They made the show what it was. Fornell was a good supporting character. I miss the glory days of this show. Easily one one of the greatest ever produced.

With the passing of our beloved ‘Ducky’, Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, Talia, Ellie and Abby should return for his funeral. The old guard, so to speak, to hunt down Ducky’s cause of death. They end with Ziva and Tony finally get married. I hope the writers see this and give David one hell of a send off!

I think he made a wise decision. I often thought he should be getting ready for retirement. Myself I’m happy for him and of course I’ll miss him, but I totally get why he left. One of the best exit I’ve seen on a show and yes I cried, but I was also happy quite content. I’ll continue to watch NCIS because it’s that good. Just as in life, people come and go.

I truly hope Mark Harmon will be on the show periodically at least. His presence and acting skills truly add to the show.

I must be one of the few who actually like the show better now. I've watched it from day 1, and after so many of the characters left, it just wasn't the same. They gave Gibbs a good send off. They didn't kill him; he's just in Alaska. I think Gary Cole is a great addition, and I like the chemistry of the group; it's much more relaxed. What upsets me most is the passing of David McCallum. RIP, Ducky. You will be missed so much.

I feel mixed on Gibbs return and retirement. I feel in one way as much as I will miss him TERRIBLY but I feel maybe at this point he has earned his peaceful retirement. I love Mark Harmon as Gibbs and I just love him he’s very talented and attractive and I recall the first time I saw him but I won’t mention because he probably wouldn’t want anyone to know how he started out but I do miss watching him on NCIS and really since he has left the show I don’t bother watching it anymore it’s just not the same show with most of the cast has gone and when David McCallum died it just wasn’t the same because he played his role so great and I just miss ducky and the rest of them so that’s why I don’t watch it

I still watch NCIS. I know lots don't watch because Mark is no longer but I still watch it. I don’t like him gone. He made the show and maybe I'll flow away. But I loved all the characters that left. Such good chemistry.

I started watching less when Ziva left, and then almost quit watching completely, when Tony left...and it finished me completely when Gibbs left. In real life, Tim should be the boss, but......

I don’t watch NCIS anymore. In fact, I quit watching it even before Gibbs was gone it got tiring. It was living up to its potential as a procedural, and it was getting old and even with the new people in it there wasn’t the spark there wasn’t the chemistry that was in the very beginning About the only thing I’m really sorry about the fact that I missed the last few rules that Dougie played in the show. I was a fan of David Mc Callum practically from the first time I saw him in Hallmark Hall of Fame‘s teacher teacher, which was an incredibly outstanding piece of work. Of course we all watched the man for uncle one Easter grandma and grandpa sent the boys and Napoleon solo and Eli Kuriakin boy I massacred that spelling.. action figures. My sister and I were delighted that Barbie had somebody to date other than G.I. Joe. I also am one of the people that believe that the character of Tim McGee should have been the new number one agent we’ve grown up with him with the exception of the first season when he was in periodically he’s been there all the time. I can even remember, the Rocky Carroll character made the comment to Gibbs that the face of NCIS was supposed to be McGee. That’s what the people would want to see when they saw agents at crime scene. Don’t get me wrong I like Mark I always have him getting his face sliced up in Saint elsewhere to many other movies and TV that he’s done. If any show continues, it must adapt. Characters come and go, some leave willingly, some die off by script design. Some remain but in a more limited role. I understand this concept and accept the growth of any series that I spend time watching. Good luck to you Mark Harmon, you played your character well! Anyone who mourns his removal should just know that they can always rewatch from season one. I miss Abby and admit I was upset to see her gone, but it did allow a new character to add to the series. Growth should be allowed to happen. NCIS is a fantastic series and I appreciate the journey.

Ok so I've made it through 5:30 seconds and have hit pause. Knowing before I clicked that it was bait (thumbnail) but to then to just throw out these explanations that are so far from the truth. the story line and live interviews with Legitimate news outlets that the exit of Mark Harmon (who himself explained) this was always the plan through the last few seasons as s17 was going to his last. This only changed when Cote De Pablo was to be written back in. Mark Himself said "it's time to take a break" multiple times. Many of the Characters that have left the show have stated many times that the show has a grueling and intense filming schedule that takes it's toll over the years.

NCIS was Gibbs the show was built around him. He was central to the show. It just isn’t the same without him.

I miss Gibs a lot, but I also support the other longtime characters in the show and I still watch. I watch the first years of NCIS on Netflix. I’ve gone through all the years 3 times. I don’t mind watching them over and over. I’m on my 4th time through. I also like how the new shows are going even though I miss Gibbs. It’s a great show! I’m looking forward when it begins again in Feb.

I loved Gibbs, and although harsbto not see him on the show. Thw fact that I love all the others has kept me watching. It was hard getting used to his replacement but I'm used to him, surprisingly he has fit in. The entire cast of NCIS are great actors and the stories have not changed, the family of the the show is still strong. I will continue watching it. This Monday is the tribute to Duckie. I will have my tissues handy.

I truly miss Gibbs. He was my hero and I thought he would never leave NCIS. I always thought He would come back. Now I find that I don't watch NCIS as loyally as I once did. I like Torres n McGee, but NCIS isn't as exciting as it once was.

I have always been fond of Gary Cole and I enjoy his character of Alden Parker. He is a very different person than Gibbs. I will continue to watch the show. I believe that Gibbs will return for a show honoring M.E. Donald ( Ducky ) Mallard. Only time will tell.

I've been binge watching NCIS with the past month because I'm out of work with a dislocated ankle. I'm on season 12 now and it's just not the same without Ziva.

I have 19 video tapes of NCIS, Season 1 to 19 Season and stop, cause Gibb's left.

It took a season to continue watching NCIS but it grew on me. It seemed to be left open because Ginbs exit was when his boat blew up. His body was never found. In an interview he said he was leaving to spend more time with his wife, Pam Dawber. I thought he would hint he was alive when Ducky died.

Ever since Bishop left i dont watch it so often. I do like the character of McGee and always have. As far as Gibbs goes, on many episodes he is a total ass. But the new characters after Bishop i find wanting.

I suppose after all those long hours for 20 years making the show, one is going to get tired of it eventually. Harmon needed a break. But some viewers forget those actors are human after all. They get sick of things as we do. I suggest some of those viewers, find a safe space. I missed 'Ziva', but I got over it. Michael Weatherly is enjoying doing other projects and series, like Bull. The change for actors is like a holiday. And of his passing, I will miss David McCallum as an actor of many years experience in British movies, The Man from UNCLE, and of late, NCIS.

I stopped watching after Tony left in season 14 Family First. I haven’t seen an episode since because with Ziva gone and uninspiring new characters just didn’t feel like the original show.

NCIS has changed over the years, actors came and went. I like the new crew however and hope the show continues on for a long time. In the beginning Gibbs was funnier and not so strict. At the end I found he changed and was always angry and sometimes just down right mean.
