Mark Owen, has always appeared to be an honest stand up guy. Sad the government has burdened him with a huge debt. Unfortunately the USA is suffering from a corrupt government as well as a lot of morally defective people who live in the USA. Mark, should be thanked for his service and exposing the lies. Hi, I’m a woman in her 20s and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. I’m a civilian and I want to go enlisted. What advice would you give for women that want to be SEALs? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? What books or workout programs would you recommend? Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course. Also, a lot of female SEAL candidates break their legs or develop stress fractures.

I attended a conference for my work Winter of 2014 at Copper Mtn in Colorado. The sponsoring firm hired Mark to speak to us. It was surreal. He had videos, pictures etc and told a lot of really interesting stories about some of his more high profile missions. I recall his whole discussion lasted a few hours. We all received signed copies of his first book and my wife somehow managed to get me a signed copy of his second book as well.

Jack, don't worry about how good or bad you are "reading ads". You ad-lib better than most and that's a big plus; keeping your audience engaged, interested, and coming back for more. Appreciate the discussion about PTSD and how VN vets didn't get much in the way of treatment when returning from that AO. Having been a medic (Vietnam era) I know a lotta combat vets who would have benefited from it. I do try to steer them to the VA mental health clinic, but the majority say "it's too little, too late" or are so fiercely independent (or perhaps fearful?) the answer's the same: "I'm fine."

Huge respect for Matt Bissonette (aka Mark Owens) for his service to our country and for being treated so poorly by our "owners" when he retired and treated poorly is a HUGE understatement ... it was and is a disgrace. He never put his face on the victories and heroics and the fake news and the machine attacked him like nobody else. God Bless him and his family and thank you Jack Carr.

He was treated the way he was because, 1) he was publicly untruthful about his role in the UBL assault [as has Rob O'Neil] and 2] Command tried to work with him on the book issues, but he refused so DOD got involved. It's like anything else in life --- 100 "atta boys" can be wiped with one "oh poop" moment. He turned his back on his teammates at the expense of self-promotion. He stays in hiding and plays up being at high risk of death for phony reasons. There are a lot of T6 dudes out there living a great normal life after deployments without all of the nonsense.

Whoever was second in the stack ( MB or RO) followed Rapier in and shot Bin Laden and the third man came in and shot BinLaden as well.

I imagine and I could be wrong but I'd like to believe that mission as big as the UBL raid the boys at least some of them had helmet cams on...for operators like that and missions like that it helps with AAR's, training, etc. If that's the case I think that footage needs to be released. Especially the shots that ended it.

If Mark did as you suggested he'd possibly be getting a prison sentence and then sued civilly by the fake navy seal. They need to make it a crime to pretend that you're a navy seal member when you actually have not been, same goes for other military imperinations. Mark did the right thing by letting this morally defective lowlife know the game was over. It's sad we have these repugnant liars in our society. Thank you for sharing your comment 🙏

What a stupid thing to say to downplay the doctor knowing he wasn't sleeping. I had the opposite issue where i was sleeping too much, my brother was sleeping fine-- his sleep wasn't his issue. So it IS relevant that the doctor was able to see he couldn't sleep. It was incredibly insensitive to make jokes of a process that's helping him.
