As a mother of a child I agree wholeheartedly with Ruthie. I am in a dilemma. First I watch this war thanking god that my kid is too young to fignt. And then I want him to grow up Jewish in the land of his birth and right no, it's arguably the only safe place for Jews in any event. But the thought of sending my child to war in this country which has to capitulate to America and other factions, while our children would be put deliberately in danger so that we can boast about being the most moral army in the world. This is of grave concern to me, and Im sure this concern is multiplied 1000-fold by parents in Israel who right now have kids fighting and about to be called up. I can't see how this government and this army have the trust of its citizens by current actions. A parent chooses their own child over the child of an enemy every single time, and that Israelis are expected to do the opposite is abhorrent. We coordinate aid, we ensure their prisoners are well fed..we log everything before firing. Gazans voted Hamas and many support Hamas so we should not have to endanger our kids to.save them. As is we provided medical care and jobs. Go check how many Palestinian kids' lives were saved in Israeli hospitals so that they could grow up and make their parents proud by becoming martyrs.

This is a terrible disaster. I am thinking of the movie, "Saving Private Ryan". They release a german soldier who ended going back in circulation and killed additional soldiers of their unit. Big mistake. Why are we putting our young boys at risk like this? All these IDF soldiers that have been killed are so young early 20s. Many have not started their family and have no sons. It pains me so much every time i see a name of soldier that has been killed. Please Hashem give us victory over our enemies and protect all of our soldiers, hostages, civilians. Bring them home safe.
