Very nice Mark. I don't have any cameras down there now so it's nice to see what's going on in there.

Went out yesterday to put in fresh batteries and cards after just one week. Surprisingly, no panthers or bears. Just the usual little stuff. I'll be gone for the next 6 weeks. Hoping for some "baby pictures" on the next cams. Keep up the great videos!

I Wonder Where Are The Foxes? You Don't See Very Many Anymore🤔 I Guess This Was Not They're Habitat. Love The Videos👍
@markthomas52734 жыл бұрын
Not sure. I used to see gray foxes fairly regularly to the south and east of where my cameras are. I'm surprised that I haven't seen any here. Maybe the bears and panthers keep them from the area.

I have a game cam set up on a bird bath. I see some of the same shots over and over. They birds land at the most convenient place and bath and drink so I get them over and over. Same here.

Cool. I set up a trail cam in my backyard overlooking my small (8ft) pond. Amazing what I saw. Toads....a rat..squirrels...birds bathing ...and a large green iguana who would jump into the pond and swim across every day.

Mark, this is awesome! I am going to watch the rest of these, as well. Couple questions, are you happy with these trail cams? I swear, their videos are some of the clearest I have seen. How do the lenses stay so clear for 5 weeks of rain, humidity and animal slobber? What size SD cards are using for 5 or 6 weeks?
@StormyNight7774 жыл бұрын
That bear is going to catch that turkey some day. LOL

I was going to say, that bear is still stalking that Turkey like a serial killer to this day.

Ecstatic with these Cams. But browning stopped making them. I'm in Brazil right now so I dont have my notes. But Browning is awesome. A quick call to them asking which camera model replaced the Eecon Force Extreme and they'll let you know. It costs about $179. I agree. The video is great. HD video. I dont use them for still shots so I cant comment about that. I have 32 gb cards in them. The lens stays clean all by itself. Those cameras have been out since January and I never touch the lenses. The camera uses 8 AA batteries. I've used rechargeable NiMH rechargeable batteries but they dont always seem to supply enough power. But alkaline batteries are great and last a long time! That's all I use now.

Great work and footage! Nice to see the elusive panther. Have there been any python sightings via cameras?
@markthomas52734 жыл бұрын
So far, I haven't captured any pythons on any of my cameras. The biologists are interested in my videos to keep track of small mammals like rabbits and raccoons as a way to tell if pythons aremiving in. So far, no sign of them as far as I know in this area.

The panther just had her babies and her stomach is empty now, that is why her skin is hanging low. It takes some time to snap back. LOL! :) Same if your wife has a baby some day. Don't worry, her skin will snap back too!

It's also 90 degrees. There's another deer doing the same at 28:13 in 106 degree heat. Lots of body heat can be lost out of ears, and flapping them can help cool them.

Aren’t you guy scared to go put up these cameras knowing all these dangerous animals could be eyeing you from behind a tree ?
@markthomas52734 жыл бұрын
I wasn't before ... but I am now! LOL. I am much more aware of what is going on around me when I go out there now. I actually had no idea that there were so many bears in the areas where I put my cameras. I used to try to be very quiet in the hopes of catching a glimpse of a panther. But now that I know there are so many bears around, I am intentionally noisy. If bears hear you coming, they will typically get out of your way. What you don't want to do is accidentally surprise a bear, especially a mother with cubs.
