You are indeed right - I do make profit helping companies become more innovative by using creative tools. Also the companies that recruit me do become more profitable as a result. Furthermore, the employees who use playfulness and creativity to a greater extent at work - do profit because their work environment becomes more pleasant as a result. However, I do not agree with your statement that it would be utopian. I would argue that it is context-specific. In some workplaces indeed introducing playfulness would be next to impossible. Flying a plane, operating a patient or handling heavy machinery at a construction site - not a joking matter. The teams that thrive on innovation win from playfulness quite a bit.
