Me, I been doing my home workouts using recycled bicycle tubing. Hence the title "diy", now from this video I'm willing to make my own trx suspension straps with out the use of handles. My hands now are getting calisus from doing old school exercises. My projects are to make a hammock using plarn (plastic yarn) to reduce global warming. Also seat pad when I'm outside.

Nice clear instructions. Thank you. I like that this can be made from completely biodegradable, natural materials rather than buying one of the commercial, synthetic offerings. I'm trying a variation on this theme, making two detached handles, each with an eye-splice on its end so ropes of different weights and lengths can be used.

so i made mine last night !! It looks awesome. The only thing that I had trouble with is where to slip the cord into on the last knot. In the last round when you take the rope and are doubling up I could not figure it out but I persevered and I won the battle. Do you wax the whole cord before you start the project? oh and I also ordered some leather lacing for the next project.. you rock... love and Peace, Catherine

Is this type of rope handle is good for grip or the wooden handle is good??

Wooden handles are slippery. This rope handle is far better. If the quality of rope is good, the handle formed will be excellent.

Is this rope heavy enough to be used easily by children?? I bought rump ropes for myself and my kids and the ropes are so light they need more weight to be easier to use!
