I’m up 67% from last year with a 7 figure portfolio well positioned with good blue chip companies and I have stop losses in place. Personally with insights from my adviser Anna Rounds Fay, I prefer to invest in large cap companies which have economic moats, large cash flows and strong balance sheets. I am confused . If you buy a stock, you only earn money when it grows, and recieve the money for certian when you sell the stock(but you have to pay taxes), right? Also, does S&P 500 have dividends?

Not sure how different it is in UK vs USA, but Index Mutual Funds can be bought in fractional shares as well! Fidelity allows minumun $10 investments into many of their mutual funds! Amazing to see the barriers to entry being crushed like this!
