i really like Gruhammed as an interviewer. he seems to always know when to and not to interject, and doesn't try and hog attention or anything. He's also respectful and good at adapting to the interviewee's social cues.

Legendary man, legendary (but still sickly under-rated) band. Great interview. Cheers!

I met Marky, he is the most down to earth dude. We talked about the Ramones for like 20 minutes at Alamo City Comic Con

For me I figure everyone has their bias but the truth is probably somewhere between Marky's book and Mickey's. Love Dee Dee but he couldn't be called reliable even in interviews when he was alive. Johnny... I haven't read Commando yet but I feel Johnny being how he was it's probably prone to being being bit narrow and self justifying. As for the books aside from those I have Monte's which has a lot of photos and quotes which makes it interesting for a varied perspective on the band. And Danny's book is literally a picture book and a great one at that. I also have the Ramones book that came out in the 90s and it's pretty even keeled and interesting to see a perspective on the band when they were all still alive. The graphic novel is fun even if a bit light. Good airplane read or introduction to the basics of the Ramones. Both of those last 2 are good for that. I'd be interested to read Vera's (Dee Dee's wife) book if I could get my hands on it

@@jpunkabillybayd.7562 Richie Ramone (real name Richard Reinhardt) was the drummer from 1983 until 1987, he was in the band after Marky was kicked out and then Marky was brought back. Some people (including me) think Richie was the best Ramones drummer

I just dont fine nice the way he is writing about Joey, not only writing, he is doing self glorifying. On the other side CJ is the one keeping Ramones spirit alive while Marky is looking just for his pocket, as he always did. Just not sure if all the "facts" from his book are honest and truth.
