When a pastry chef molds chocolates they often fill the mold full and let it cool slightly, then pour out the chocolate before its sets fully leaving a layer of chocolate on in inside of the mold to be filled later. Could you use the same process to create "filled" looking soft-plastic baits? Shooting an outer color and then tipping the mold to pour the plastic back into the measuring cup before shooting a filling layer after the shell cools???

Great mold, and awesome video. Yeah the sprue will cook off on the griddle and mess up the nose. I try to take it out before or as soon as the sprue starts to rise.

The polish guys use special soft plastic airbrush paint and powders to get that look on their plastics. Very cool and difficult process. They also make their molds out real fish, which is really cool!
