Anna Kashfi married Marlon Brando, whom she had met in the summer of 1956, on October 11, 1957. They divorced a year and a half later on April 22, 1959.
They had a son, Christian Devi Brando (1958-2008), whom she called "Devi". Kashfi and Marlon fought bitterly over Christian, with Marlon eventually winning custody. In the 1990s, Christian was tried for killing his half-sister Cheyenne's boyfriend. Jailed for the crime, he later died of pneumonia in Los Angeles in 2008, aged 49. Kashfi married James Hannaford, a salesman, in 1974. Kashfi had one grandson, Michael Brando (born 1988).
Anna died in 2015 in Woodland, Washington at the age of 80.

@@marccharbonneau1967 I'm sorry to hear that. My dad was an alcoholic as well and my mother was mentally ill. This combination has impacted my whole life. I think having "less than nurturing childhoods" is the number one factor related to a lot of societal issues, especially all sorts of addictions. Our childhoods are the foundations of our lives and if that is not done in a healthy manner, it will most assuredly cause problems. I'm greatful we live in a time in that we can recover from this affliction and heal.

How ironic, Marlon Brando having issues from his childhood, he had slept with James Dean, and he said Dean was messed up, he didn't like Jimmy, but slept with him anyway, I heard that he was the alfa and would burn Jimmy with his cigarettes. Strange times there in the 50's

@@alpacinoismydad1293 No that has absolutely nothing to do with it ,it doesn't matter what language you are speaking it all about the speech pattern , the tone it's delivered in, and the persons personal style and how the words are delivered . A persons tone and delivery is huge because in fact many languages by nature linguistically are just completely different and it's that's why in fact they say the "Latin Languages" are the "best sounding" and known as being the "love languages" because of how they just regularly sound , but if you can take a more "gutteral" sounding language by nature and delivery it eloquently and classy that is an actual personsl skill ,in short to say ,it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH "WHAT ACCENT" OF "WHAT PARTICULAR LANGUAGE" . Linguistics is something to be achieved and mastered.

The struggle took its bizarrest turn in 1972 when Kashfi effectively had her son kidnapped from school and taken to Mexico, for which she was later arrested. Reportedly, the town where the boy was taken was San Felipe, Baja, Mexico. This episode prompted the courts to grant Brando sole custody of Christian. No doubt the protracted custody battle had a profoundly negative affect on their unhappy son, who in 1991 was convicted of the manslaughter of his stepsister's boyfriend. He received a lengthy prison sentence.

Marlon was an Aries! Aries people are wild, bold, and brave and don't give a damn what people or society think. Sex to Marlon was like eating a Mars bar. It made no difference to Marlon if it was a woman or a man. If it was pleasurable he did it and did not worry about it. Brando was a fine actor. He had personal issues and had terrible relationships. He fathered about 13 children. This free spirit could not be bothered with condoms. I am sure he loved his children. However, his daughter Cheyenne and son Christian had severe emotional problems and died young. During the year of their marriage, Anna Kashfi had enough of Marlon's antics. He stood on the diving board of their pool with a cement block chained to his neck while his agent Jay Kanter said, " Look, Anna, Marlon feels so bad about how he treated you..he's going to commit suicide!' While men like Brando and Eastwood are greatly respected actors, filmmakers and so on I have zero respect for them as men. The most respectable and good man I know is probably my grandfather. He has been married to my grandmother for over 60 years. She has dementia that's daily far gone ans he is more or less blind and almost deaf. Yet they cannot be apart for it makes them so sad they didn't want to live anymore, especially my grandfather. My grandmothers dementia forced her to move to a hospital for a while last year. But just so they could be togheter we had to help them move from their house (an old very remote farm built by my great grandfather) to an apartment where they could have access to care and still be together. Leaving the house you've lived in for 94 years to be with your wife who doesn't always remember you is a truly admirable thing to do imo. His best friend of the last 87 years or so is also a great man. He married his wife back in the mid to late 40s and they lived together all the way until she passed a few years ago. After she got sick, he a man then in his then late 80s/early 90s who can barely walk from his nerve damage in his legs had looked after her for years during her time of sickness. Idk why I wrote about this but hey I wanted to remind people of what truly great men are I guess. They are not the rich and famous, they are not presidents or politicians, they are ordinary guys who lived decent lives and looked after and stuck with their families trough thick and thin.

She didn't claim that. She spoke of a conversation with the mistress who commented on her eating curry and breastfeeding. Her first language isn't English, and it is common for past/present tense to become intermingled for non native speakers. This is common knowledge. She's a white women born in Chakradharpur, India. She was raised speaking the native language up until age 13. She was then moved back to Britain where she began a career in modeling. It wasn't taking off, so as was extremely, (and I mean look it up) common for modeling agencies and movie studios to fabricate all sorts of things to create a star. I'm not supporting that she kept up the lies with Brando, who then punished her by being a complete monster. It's all too easy to judge others, especially when we didn't live during those times. She was required to keep her cover to make a living. It was a role she played, as did other major celebrities at the time. Brando was equally guilty of fabricating much of his own story and background, yet he's not under any sort of criticism here.

Her parents were both British, Irish, welsh, english, settled in British India, like many others. Her birth name was Joan O'Callaghan. If anything Marlon Brando’s English was weak & she probably didn’t speak Italian And Marlon Brando was hugely disappointed when he found out her parents and birth name weren’t Indian; that was 1major reason why they got divorced
