Its definitely unique and refreshing approach of joining the slab as a puzzle, i feel more people should follow this instead of just pouring epoxy.

The table is so beautiful! That olive wood was a great choice here. Side note: a Shinto rasp would probably be very helpful to you on shaping edges etc.

I love olive wood 17:43 . I think the best thing about watching your videos is that it’s causing my thinking to shift. I’ve watched all these people who make these large tables thinking I’d have to do it like that….meaning large. I been working on in my head how to do things on a smaller scale. You’ve helped me in this shifting of my thoughts with your tables. They come out so beautiful, the grain that shows on this table is astonishing. Thanks again for showing your work and helping other to be able to start their dream work !!

Beautiful. Love the smell of Olive wood and how silky/satin it is when sawing of sanding. Table looks chic and simple but sophisticated.Good the pieces didnt go in the fire.

This exactly I wanted to do with one of my project. I think you can make your life easier if you transfer the edge profile to a 1/4in mdf as a template and then use a router to cut it precisely. Great build!

Thanks! I thought about doing it that way, but in the end, I decided on this method, which is a bit less accurate but I believe is faster

@@marmotaworks in my case i am trying to avoid epoxy fill so thinking of using the router and then use wood glue. I hope it works

I saw how much you are charging for this table. I was surprised that it wasn't at lease 2000 euros. Don't sell yourself short, your pieces are unique and artistic. Have you ever thought of making jigsaw puzzles from wood? You certainly seem to have a talent for puzzles. 😎

I never post comments on anything, but your work is amazing! You mentioned if there would be a way to make the matching cuts easier, thinking that if you had a way to make the cuts while both overlapping pieces are clamped together it may work! (you may need a bigger bandsaw...) Cheers from a Uruguayan living in the US!

Btw, you might want to check out the 3m Xtract cubitron sand paper. Lasts longer, cheaper and can help to cut down on time. All around better result.

I have tried other sanding discs, and I didn't like them very much. I will try the 3M ones you mentioned

Regarding the chip out, I learned from building acoustic guitars, that a ‘CLIMB CUT’ can help reduce or eliminate the problem. Look it up…
