Portugal is one of those countries that is always showing it's culture, ethnicity and uniqueness. Maro has great vocals and a great cozy song which is absolutely beautiful. I am excepting minimal top 15 in GF for Portugal. Good luck Portugal from Croatia. 🇭🇷♥️♥️♥️♥️🇵🇹

But I also think that we, as a country, are not having the recognition that we deserve, also because we are not good promoting our things. Namely our art, our music. I think that, concerning music, that was what the Albanian person wanted to say, and I agree with him.

If we are the best that the world has in so many different areas, why not promote this essence, these capabilities? I want to believe that my children's generation, who are in their mid-twenties, already easily understands what it's worth. Fortunately, there are many who do not have self-esteem problems, and who, wherever they go, naturally stand out for their dedication, friendliness, and education that come from the values received. Portugal doesn't care what Eurovision expects, they always pick their entries with their heart in the right place. That's why they deserve to do well. Even when they sent a non-qualifier (Conan Osiris), they still made Eurovision history by sending an insanely talented and artistic performer that people are still speaking about today! Would be great if Eurovision turned into an event where songs like this are winners almost automatically. Because this is true music connecting many. Every Portugal knows the meaning of word Saudade. Everyone on this planet knows the feeling. MARO managed to combine it. Through our feelings and her music we are able to understand Saudade without understanding the word on its own. And that’s magical. True music.

It has the same mesmerizing magic as Ecos na Catedral, by Madredeus. There is no doubt about the timelessness of Saudade saudade. And the most beautiful thing was to see the great Teresa Salgueiro being part of the 1st jury that gave the maximum score (12 points) to this beautiful and unique song.
