I have been in several different denominations. I don’t care what a document or prayer book says. I care what Jesus says. When I found out when I was 13 that I couldn’t have it away every night of the week with any willing woman, I was fine with it. Jesus comes first in my life. I knew that God is good, God wants the best for my life and God will give me a good life. Yes, to accept same sex marriage as Christians, or just same sex relationships, we have to cross our huge chunks of the Bible. In almost every Book that refers to God as the Groom and us as the Bride, we would have to cross that out, and that would mean disbelieving what God says His love for us is. It’s a nasty way of going about things. I choose Jesus. I think people do still want marriage but they see the big do’s that people have and they think they cannot afford to get married. The church needs to get the message out that the big do is not necessary and marriage is a promise to love. There is so much evidence available that we are not born lgbt and we are as we are through trauma. We know this from all the research but also when someone changes orientation following domestic violence or rape. We know people are not born lgbt. And Jesus does heal. This change to accept same sex marriage is a statement that God got it wrong, Jesus does not heal and the Holy Spirit is not alive in us today. These are lies from the enemy. Questions!🤔 Isn't this happening in pretty much every denomination? And doesn't that just point to the great apostasy at the end of the Church age? The Bible teaches these things will happen before Jesus returns for His Church. As in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. (All of Matthew 24 is applicable here.) So isn't this all inevitable? We should of course be preaching the gospel and praying people will be saved. But also realising, Jesus said these things WILL happen. The Church needs to be prepared for Christ's soon return. A clear Understanding where we are in Biblical prophecy and whats to come, helps us all to know why these things are happening in The Church of God. You guys are doing a great job in slowing down the dreadful pace of the apostasy thats hapening in the Church. But an understanting of what the Bible says about WHY these things are happening can be very valuable and calming to a Chuch that is inevitable waiting, even if they don't know it, for Jesus return!! Praying for all who are involved in this important work within The Church of England. And the wider Church of God. 🙏🙏🙏

I'm confused, nobody is trying to change doctrine and neither is any priest, parish being forced to implement these LLF proposals. In democrstic votes there is a choice for all those who are trying to be pastorally sensitive. To meet the needs of all our parishioners, which surely is the essence of Christianity and our call to ordination?

Interesting that none of these men came out and stated their beliefs ..I am not judging them BUT why did they not state they believe in Gods law that marriage is between one man and one woman ..and that they condemn the C of E and are leaving …job security over real conviction?

Why do people still continue to support this apostate system. The Christian life isn't lived in a building 90 mins on a Sunday . Let it go. There's a life outside to be lived. As I found out 5 years ago. Blessing.
