Why am I crying? Been married for 9 years, three children, this is such a beautiful reminder that it's the small things in life that count. Just having someone to share all of those meals and daily moments with you is more meaningful than anything else.

This killed me. Thank you for portraying marriage this way. Just like anything, the day-to-day feels so simple and normal, but seeing it objectively makes me realize again how much of a gift it is.

Your spouse will be (should be) there for you to care for you, love you, support you, help you out with slicing onions because it makes you cry... It's not the grand gestures that dictate how good your marriage will be, it's the basic, day-to-day things that speak "I love you!" that makes married life so worth it. With unrealistic expectations in our digital age, it's hard not to compare what social media posts there are about this or that cool wedding or proposal, but in reality, this is not what real life looks like... Sweet video guys. My husband and I had this only for about a year until baby #1 came. 10 years later, we have 4 and this existence seems like another lifetime. But when all my kids have spouses of their own and are living in their own little places, it'll be me and the old man again. We help each other do normal daily things, get a little annoyed at stuff the other person does, but ultimately we’re there for each other and balance the work out.
