지국보라해 it isn’t about being young that was the problem. They weren’t ready for marriage period. Both of them still act like children and both of them isn’t financially stable enough either to even start a life together (this can be interpreted in many ways but I meant it as such: the husband didn’t have a stable job nor did the wife. Not enough income). I’m not trying to look down on them but they honestly rushed their marriage. They should’ve thought about the financial side before taking on the responsibility of having another person. I feel bad hearing that they are struggling but I hope their financial issue gets sorted out and obviously their views and mindset

Honestly their love story is sweet marrying young isn't a problem I married young and my husband and I started off in a studio bedroom home it was really small. Brittany Blessed Marrying young is not a problem I agree with you. But I myself can’t really understand why did they decide to get married right now they both have family problems, financial problems and our mentally unstable what if she get pregnant? How will they rise a kid?. Why did they pick the toughest road? Because they love each other? Why couldn’t they just get married when they both finish school and have stable job?. They should have waited for at least 3 years or more. I still wish the best for them. I hope that their realitionship to last forever. Hopefully they will have happy days waiting for them in near future.

Yes, I understand both of them. She just love her husband so much, plus she have nothing to do, so she think of her husband all day. And that’s normal. But he shouldn’t say that he want a divorce. @@Ameiaru I agree. They should both pick a different field from social work. The thing about social work in any country is that you won't earn a lot (in most countries). Social workers need to have self-awareness first and emotional stability before they can tend to others. As the saying goes "Before you can help others, you need to help yourself first". If they can't get out of their rut, then becoming a social worker should not be their job.

I got married three months before turning 18 and had my first child 14 days after I turned 20. Now I'm 21 years old and my daughter is two years old. I'm in my 3d year in University while my husband works. He's 25 years old now. He was 22 when we married. Of course it's difficult. It's difficult for mature adults that know what they want and have settled a lot of important things in life like university, job, house etc. Being young you feel like you're missing on life. Friends go out but you can't because you have to take care of the baby . . . Even if you don't have a child in order to have a happy marriage you have to think of your spouse. You can't go often out and you can't go out in certain places your friends go. Sometimes you can't even participate in their conversations because at this age they'll talk about boys, dating etc. Just marriage being brought up in conversation is awkward. Like the professor asks 'who is married?' and you lower your head as they tell you that you have to study twice as hard as the hardest student. But by being mature you can make the marriage work. By understanding each-other and accepting each-others flaws and working on them . . . Marriage can become heaven. Your own nest of support that is unlike any other but it needs a lot of work and self-sacrifice. Just both parties have to try otherwise the one who cares the most will find themselves in a toxic marriage, giving too much until they just become a shell.

I also don’t agree with this marriage. I could see the wife looked really insecure before she talked about her situation. They both rely on each because they both have the same problem, but I think they are trying to put their happiness and identity into each other but you can’t do that. The other person can’t make you feel complete, you need to love yourself and know your own identity. They both really need to sort out their own problems. There’s a lot of sacrifice and effort that goes into marriage, you have to do things you don’t wanna do sometimes, it ain’t just about feelings cause they can come and go. That is why I don’t think I’m ready for marriage atm even tho I would like to be.

They’re actually 23 and 26 (Koreans follow the Lunar calendar and consider themselves one year older than the international age). Most people start to settle down in their mid-late 20s/early 30s, but in South Korea where living costs are pricey (especially big cities like Seoul) and young people are heavily focused on their education/careers and making money, it’s become normal for people to put off thoughts of marriage, let alone having kids. Also, Koreans spend the majority of their lives studying to get into the best schools, so once they get to college and enter their 20s, they like to fully enjoy the rest of their youth.

The thing is when you have parents that complain about you so much it will eventually make you feel like you're being judged and like you're a burden. You want to try eveything to prove to them that you are worthy of their love and that makes you anxious and insecure. That's why she feels she can't appear in front of her parents when she's not perfection. Because they made her feel like she was never enough just being her, her flaws were seen as a failure instead of something that could be worked on and ultimately improved.

Usually, if you have a son and he marries, the wife will live at the families house together with the mother-father in law and she helps out and yes she can go to work but it's not necessarily. And the son helps with the money, for the daughter how I always saw they don’t really help out with money but I will. it depends some are not so old-fashioned and don‘t live together but will send money to the parents

I echo the thought that marrying young isn't necessarily a problem. My parents married at 21 and 18 and had me the fifth and last child when my dad was 30 and my mom 27. There were some rough patches in our lives which I'm glad we made it through by the grace of God and my parents devotion to each other. My three older siblings are all working with families of their own. My other sister is taking a break from work and I've just finished doing my Postgraduate studies and currently looking at my options and what I want to pursue next. I believe it is important to understand that marriage can be made to work despite differences between the spouses as long as it has a firm foundation of trust, mutual respect and communication. Sure this isn't the only thing but that can be worked out if they are willing.

Tbh i did cried on this episode. It really breaks my heart seeing them like that because my family going through the same thing. My dad are pressured the same as this man. My dad always told me when theres only me and him he said that yall deserve a better life than this. You deserve a better dad who can afford to give you what you need and so on. My dad also mention about my mom that he feel sorry but my mom just cant see that. They often fight but my dad was stress i just want my mom to be able to see that. What my mom had in her mind is true but some part of it are wrong. She keep saying bad things about my dad instead of trying to find the roots of the problem. Im the youngest in my family. I had older brother and older sister. Im only 17 and the thing is when i try to solve the problem by talking with them nicely especially my mom. They would say you just a kid you dont know anything. Yes i dont know anything im not adults. Fights doesnt solve anything. Anger doesnt solve anything. In the past i used to get angry and will be a brat whenever theres a fight in my family but now in 2019 idk i just begin to cry instead. I just feel frustrated lonely and sad. Why cant i have a right to talk like at least listen to me even tho you didnt do what i say. So in my opinion no matter what problem is it. Communication and understanding is important. Let people do give their opinion and we pool all the opinions and think about it. For now thats what i did for myself

This whole situation is too sad tbh. I was angry at first when the husband always mentioned divorce. "Why did you get married if you're not ready for it?" But then, it all came down to lack of communication and understanding. I can't imagine if the wife didn't know why her husband always said that, and then actually leave in the future. It would crush them both because they clearly love each other, and hence feel really guilty towards each other. On the other hands, can't stop crying when Seunghee (?) the guest brought up "I never tell my mom when I'm having a hard time". She cried immediately, and it means it has burdened her so much. I know very well how it feels. We don't want to make our parents worried, especially if we living far apart from them.

i think their love story is very touching so i believe that to solve this the wife needs to stop being so obsessed and give him some privecy by not calling him during the whole day and for the husband to stop playing a lot and one more thing that would be great for them is setting a goal and working on it as a team like getting that licence and having a better life may god bless them ♡

I see in the comments a lot about what age is considered early or late in their culture. We all should understand that every country has their own cultural differences, and for most Korean people, they put their finances and careers as top priority before marriage/having children, hence why most Koreans think that marriage in their 20's are still too young and most marry and have kids usually at ages 30 or above or if both the spouses have stable financial incomes. Etc.

Actually, we married when Im 23 years old. It has been 3 years already. The problem here is communication. The wife should work in somewhere whether she earns much or not. Money is just money and will make them relax in some way and also keep the wife busy. But the Husband... Divorce is not option, man. You should just stick on each other and encourage. I hope you will solve your problems and know your values on each other. 화이팅 !

In my opinion, In Korea, they married not because they love the person but they are infatuated by their looks. Marriage is also not sacred in their country and some of Koreans just married easily after 1 year of dating. Im living in the Philippines and I say that 1 year of dating is still short to know a person. Some Filipinos date 3 to 8 years until they get married and for them to know each others well.

They should have asked if the wife had any female friends to spend her time with. Also, this was a huge concern. The cast and audience cried a lot throughout it. She was an upperclassman. She could have endured living with her parents until she graduated. If she got a part-time job while in school it would cut down on the time she would be home and have to see her mother. There were so many other options for her to be more stable before getting married. Also, when he mentioned social work, she mentioned it immediately right after. It seemed like some sort of dependency issue like she needs to do whatever he's doing or be where ever he is. Them living in such a small place was the real problem. He probably goes to the PC bangs to get a breather because being so close to someone in a box 24/7 can be suffocating. Married couples need their "me" time too.
