ANOTHER SMASH ULTIMATE PATCH, ANOTHER TIER LIST. This time, we have the newest DLC character SEPHIROTH to add in the mix. Today I'm covering what I consider to be the low tier garbage. The only time you'll see these characters accomplish anything is when I'm holding the controller.

@John Martinez flip kick is great, but she's also super fast, has good aerials and normals and a small hurtbox. She can camp super well or pressure super hard. Pretty much her only weakness is her light weight and being kinda tall. Flip kick is good, but it's not anywhere close to good enough to make a character by itself.

I know we always shit on ZSS here but this is a legitimate tier list and he's putting her bottom 5? I mean.. she's not bottom 5. Even Leo puts her in top tier, I think unironically she's mid tier but BOTTOM 5 seems like a stretch.

Flip Jump is absolutely busted, incredible slippery movement, amazing Neutral that often leads into Kill Confirms, some insane combos, and one of the best recoveries in the game. Many Japanese players think she's the best in the game over other characters like Palutena, Joker or even Pikachu

I really like Marss. I think he is one of the best players, he is so fun to watch, and his content has been really good this year and a lot of last year. I do not dislike him at all. That being said, How is it possible to place Marth as the 11th or 12th worst character in the game? I honestly do not understand it. Characteristics-wise, he and Lucina are the same, but marth does less with sours, and more with sweets. Even if Marth is not as good, he is not bottom 15. Not a chance.

I mean yes, but the biggest flaw really is his poor air mobility along with being super light. Though yes tail hurtbox doesn't help when trying to fight in air interactions

Mewtwo tail isn't even that bad. The main problem imo is low damage (not kill power, mewtwo has good kill power) and not being able to double jump in neutral.

Thank you Somebody Finally Tells the truth about toon link, Yes he's an easy character too play, BUT he's easily able too be counter played, he doesn't have good Shield damage, making shielding basically broken against him. His assumingly "good" Kill throw doesn't put anyone away until 160-180(Character weight/DI dependent) The multi-hits on his aerial Up B is still really trash and he's one of those characters who suffer from ledge mainly the whole "It's a 50/50 if your character grabs ledge with up special." Which makes it if he doesn't grab ledge, he's dead... He can't make it back. One good tilt or smash attack at ledge and he's done. #BuffToonlink

@@snuggie1849 Brawl meta is literally defined by meta knight. The tier list is basically: how does x do against meta knight, then the rest of the roster. Ike is high tier...until his matchup is -3 to meta knight

As a puff main I'm not gonna complain, better than smash 4. Might not be the most accurate placement. She prob more like low-mid and if we count potential prob mid. Her movement can be really flashy but in moments where you have to make quick decisions they're hard to apply. She's the epidemie of looking back at your matches and knowing your mistakes but not being able to fix them. Bassmage and Ultimate Gin are examples of what puff can do on a human level. Looks cool, can be useful but just can't be applied always

I really don’t understand why top players compare jr to sonic. Kart dash has so so so so so much more counterplay than spin dash, if you think they’re going to try to hit you just short hop aerial or roll behind, if you think he’s gonna jump out to stuff that aerial with fair, then just shield since all his aerials are unsafe. That and his projectiles being so so slow prove how bad jrs neutral is and no one really abuses that

honestly i can't really see how a character like marth could be that bad in this game the issues mentioned are present, for sure, but... with a character like him, just the way he's designed, it's nearly impossible to make him bad. like you'd have to just completely ruin his tippers, either removing them or making them like one pixel.

You already said you like MK Yeah he has good mobility and his multiple jumps make edgeguarding and ladders really strong, but they are inconsistent and really hard to set up for to be true. Neutral is also meh, most of it is just focused on stage control to get the opponent offstage or to combo them. Both of which are hard with his tiny toothpick hitboxes. Yeah his framedata also sucks a ton for his weight.

it’s not that mewtwo has bad air speed, but he just has pretty mediocre air acceleration. m2’s max air speed is the 3rd fastest in the game, which is part of what gives him a really good recovery. i think air acceleration is a really important aspect that a lot of people don’t bring up. it’s why palu feels so quick in the air despite having pretty bad air speed

@Andre Babani it’s tied for the tenth slowest aerial in the game, it’s his least safe aerial on shield, the hits are inconsistent, the spike is weak af (you’re better off using up-b to spike), and it’s unreliable as a combo move due to its landing hitbox sending your opponent at an awkward angle.

As a bayo main i can agree with bayo being bottom 15 ish, her combo games about the best part about her, neutrals meh cuz as u said you shield and bayos kit falls apart. In my opinion she doesnt really struggle to kill, she has a kill throw and a lot of kill moves and combos, the problem is just that those are easy to avoid once u know the matchup. She also dies at like 40 sometimes because she is light

That corrin spot's just wrong. They have no bad match-ups, solid combos, large kill options and good range Overall. The only explicitly bad thing is oos options but a swordie's not supposed be overly defensive anyways. I'd put him in high mid to high imo

@Andre Babani she's a swordie. Speed isn't that important. The recovery is suprisingly good. Invincibility around frame 7 and it goes up like 8 units. If mario can get by on something worse, this can work. Fair point on grabs.

Why do you think mii swordfighter isn’t thought of that highly. Saying speed doesn’t matter in the game where speed is important is stupid. Its like arguing that “ganon has a sword. Doesnt matter if he’s slow. Speed isn’t important”

Theoretically Lucario COULD decimate someone more then the next mid tier could. I get he is killed often before then but because the almost have to jump to avoid broken side B at that percent or shield neutral B, that makes them predictable enough to make up for his bad Ariel range. So personally, think he is one of the only “set play” characters in the game and need to be played that way even if the odds only guarantees he destroys top tiers sometimes but mostly loses all the time, it’s guaranteed .

I think isabelle would be better if she played differently from villager. They're both zoners but if she was more of a brawler or a stage controller, that would be better. Give her a different play style from villager so she isn't just worst villager

Lucario actually has some decent combo game and potential, held back by some high start up on most moves and lag. I don’t think Lucario is so low, but I don’t think he’s super high either.
