To play this wonderful and complex concerto requires a lot of energy and passion, and Martha Argerich plays it with a mastery worthy of a standing ovation by the with the same effusion by Tchaicovski himself. Bravo! Martha Argerich!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Thx @Max Lima for the up!👍

Extremely thrilling! She is almost like a panther. Her instincts drove to play at such an insane speed and energy which apparently the orchestra could not keep up with.

Thanks so much Max for posting. Every time I listen to her play, whether it’s octaves, something slow or even something in between I am always left speechless at her talents. The technique, the interpretation, the sheer joy she has with the music itself is something that is her own. There will never be another Martha Argerich. Let.us all revel in the one we have now.

Many pianists can play all the Chopin Études without dropping a note, but what Argerich has is this range of colour, her use of the pedal, and a sense of beauty of sound that is quite unique." Lise de la Salle : "Sound is so important, I’m fascinated by the colours she can create, especially in piano and pianissimo, brilliant but tender, like a diamond, sharp but still warm.’ Claudio Arrau in the 1970s during an interview in a music magazine insisted on the quality of sound for a pianist. The journalist asked him who among the young generation of pianists had precisely this concern for sound. His response was: "Argerich. Who else?"

Jaw-dropping moments: 11:04, 13:35, 34:50. It's like the power of Nature unleashed. It's a cliché to comment about "octaves, octaves, octaves" on Tchaikovsky 1, but this time, you've got to admit. It is beyond astonishing.

There are so many brilliantly skilled concert pianists out there but the difference with Martha Argerich is her unique passion and the strong emotions she adds to the music which is so natural for her because of her Latino background. I could listen to her magic all day, everyday for the rest of my life. Mucho gracias..

@@rigel48 Your comment reminds me of a renowned critics review of a new generation pianists who was trained in Japan, like a military exercise. "Not a wrong note and the timing was like a swiss watch. It was so perfect that I nearly fell asleep out of complete boredom". Every soloist has the right to leave their artistic stamp on a work and no one does it better than Martha.

Um vulcão! É de se lamentar que a edição final não mostre, em nenhum momento, o teclado enquanto Martha pulveriza oitavas. As filmagens foram feitas de vários ângulos o que pressupõe várias câmeras gravando tudo. Teria sido boicote a esse talento sobre-humano?

She is a human musical pianistas genios. She was rscing the orchestra in section and they were pushung her too in others. Martha still beat them at their own game of pushing to tempo to the absolute max.

Boa pergunta: ela tem um extremo domínio técnico que lhe permite tocar as maiores dificuldades do repertório pianístico de forma incrível e quase inigualável, mas ao mesmo tempo ela é para mim um vulcão musical. E tem uma capacidade de entender e traduzir todas as eras musicais, tocando qualquer compositor, de Bach a Prokofiev, de uma forma que fica sempre uma referência: Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, Schostakovitch. Para mim é a/o maior pianista de todos os tempos. Existem muitos outros que adoro, mas Argerich é uma paixão!
