This is one of my favorite Martha Wash songs. She definitely is in the S-tier of female vocalists and deserves her flowers. Thanks for your reaction.

(3:02) ...ha-HAA! ...this, is a classic 1980 LP track from Martha's Disco Group, "Two Tons O' Fun"; they were originally Sylvester's backing Vocals Singers, until they got their own Album deal in 1979.... - ....the self-titled release came out Spring 1980, and was a Dance Club SMASH! .."Do You Wanna Boogie", "Earth Can Be Just Like Heaven", "I Got The Feeling", & "Just Us" were Disco classics...then, Disco DIED..... - ...then, their Fall 1980 Album ("Backatcha") came out, pulling them away from Disco, and bringing them to more R&B oriented material...."Taking Away...." bl-ew EVERYONE away! ...It became SO popular, that Martha performed it in Solo shows, because of Audience demand! - ...but, it was never promoted (as a single), and they got dropped from the label in 1981....Then got hired by Paul Jabara in 1982 to do "It's Raining Men" (after Donna Summer turned it down), and became The Weather Girls.......(6:27)....

Martha Wash was 1/2 of the female duo best known as the Weather Girls. A female singer by the name of Izora Armstead was the the other half of the duo. One of their biggest hits was "It's Raining Men." Wash and Armstead began their musical careers as Two "Tons O' Fun." They were the female backup duo for the late disco singer Sylvester. Martha was also the real voice behind C+C Music Factory's hit song "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" , and "Black Box's hit song "Everybody, Everybody." She performed the majority of the songs on the group's debut album by the name of "Dreamland" while not being credited. Martha had the voice and but talent the music industry didn't see her as commercial appealing if you know what I mean.

Aretha had Sylvester, Martha Wash, Izora Armstead, and Jeanie Tracy on her 1985 album, Who's Zoomin Who.
