I love this game. I have just passed the second level, the club. Boy, the boss was a huge challenge, far more than Fajar. Since I bought it, I have been replaying the first level again and again, trying to unlock some moves I like and other that are useful, while learning how to fight as properly as I can to go through the game. The fighting style used here is amazing, the movements are so well made, so crispy and vivid. This title is a breath of fresh air to all who love martial arts games.

The fact that Max is wearing a DBZ shirt while watching this trailer for the game is so appropriate. The Sifu character uses a style of kung-fu called Baimei/Pak Mei, and it is so useful when applied properly to combat and practice. This looks so epic though and if Max wants to practice kung-fu, there's a Shaolin temple in Richmond, BC, Canada that he can visit and train at. The Chinese coin on the necklace is called a "yuan" and it is usually a symbol/talisman of good fortune; the circle representing the heaven/spiritual/divine realm and the square, representing the earth/physical realm (from what I learned)

Yay! I loved this trailer, I wish it was a full tv series though 😅 By the way, the coin with a hole in the middle is called a Tung Chien, it's a form of currency used in ancient China. The hole is there so that multiple of them can be strung together to make it easier for people to pay with them back then. Even further back in time, actual pieces of copper, silver or gold were used. Hope this helps. I'm sorry I don't know more about history.

AHHHH! I was hoping you'd get around to watching this! This short was incredible on all fronts - hyped me up even harder right before the game released. I love the "focus" aspect, centering on what's important and ignoring everything else. As well as the notion that a mistake only stays a mistake if you learn nothing from it. Practice makes perfect, and practice is what can make a Sifu a Sifu 👍 Which also applies to your playthrough! Keep on keeping on, dude. You'll be wrecking your way through the levels in no time. I'm still stuck in the Club myself...

As far as I understood well, the coin on the student's neck is an amulet /talisman of good luck feng shui. A bunch of such coins on the belt of the main character is also his magical amulet.

Got the game on xbox a couple weeks ago and played it on the easiest setting and still got my ass whupped a lot, but managed to complete the game twice and got both endings! Phenomenal game!

Holly molly Max. Really didn't see the death scene coming but it's really nicely done considering that the game was just out recently!

The only problem is the main character isn't using pak mei kung fu just other styles of kung-fu. But it was still a good fan movie. Oh yeah when he aged he was only supposed to age 1 year because he died only once in that level.

The Kung Fu system used in Sifu is Bak Mei. I've been a practitioner for 28 years.

It reminds me of the combat in Sleeping Dogs. It's a really underrated game taking place in China or Taiwan I believe.

@Burridge Kickboxing - I believe/think that the main character of the game is wearing a some sort of Chinese Medallion Necklace. Also, FYI...in the beginning of this game, you're just the "Student". Then overtime within the game, you'll eventually become the Sifu aka "Master/Teacher". That's probably why it's so frustrating for you when playing this game, because you're just the "Student" in the beginning...only really knowing a tiny amount of Kung-Fu moves.

SIfu kinda makes me wish VR was further ahead, so that we could use those moves in real life as a way to play the game.

Max they are called chain punches and they are only fast they don't have much power and you have to learn the technique of sticky hands to before you learn it I believe and it is all from wing chun you can look it up cheers
