Its nice to see that someone understands the importance of the elbow initially in securing the technique. Nice job and the hip movement step is a nice approach, one can also keep the hand close to their chest to walk with the person.

Thank you for your tutorials. Your explanation of details make things clear. In fact it is two different yhings when you watch how to do some technic and when you try to do it yourself. Your explanation is helpful. Could you please also make a video tutorial about koshi nage and the correct ukemi for uke especially whith a tall nage? Thank you in advance!

As said in the previous comment, there is a video for that already: bit.ly/2cVVMIw . But I'll also look into making a special tutorial just for Koshi Nage high fall

Hi, for a beginner like me, you're vidéo are really helpful. So thank you very mich for your clear explainations especially in this video, the one on nikkyo and the basic ukemi roll. Do you think it would be possible to post a video on the foot movement for a given technique. It's one of the best things for me to work on when not in the dojo and practicing alone. For example how to move my feet when doing katate dori irimi nage. Thanks again for your work. Cheers, Teddy.

I think Sensei style is Aikikai. what is different of yoshinkan style?
@MartialArtsJourney
@MartialArtsJourney 8 жыл бұрын
I've practiced Aikikai (Hombu Style) for about 4 years, than the rest of the time I've attained basics of Iwama Ryu with some variations. I haven't practiced Yoshinkan style myself. It always seemed for me to be a more Kata based and also a bit rough style. But haven't tried it, I can't really say

Thank you for your opinion Sensei! I just wanted know several of Sankyo style. because when I training of Aikikai and Yoshinkan It makes me some strange situation. I thought, actually why they tried this skills? So I didn't choose my Aikido style not yet. I also visited Hombu dojo for learn basic skills. Would you mind sometimes can I ask curious of Aikido skills?

its better to learn how to defend yourself 1st , then learn how to dance is how i belive the saying goes. you want good uke's that dont just dive on the mat but let you get a feel for it . really in the dojo your aikido may look super awesome like mine lmao , but on the streets in a real altercation , your aikido isnt going to look pretty , but by the time you get to blue belt you should realize even a sloppy kotegieshi on a untrained person and their arms wasted possibly for good , same with shihonage , get sloppy and thier elbow wont ever be the same again . dont forget to run , lawsuits are no laughing matter.

Actually my father was a MP during the 50's-60's and used the Sankyo and found it very effective on moving people. He showed me a few techniques he used on people, but never called them by a particular name. It wasn't until I got involved with Aikido and was able to put names to the techniques he showed me. He was not trained in Aikido, so I can only assume he was taught a form of Judo or jiu-jitsu that incorporated locks. They also taught boxing.
@xl000
@xl000 5 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it must work under the good conditions, but I have yet to see someone in actual combat pinning the opponent with a ikkyo or nikkyo, and use a sankyo against someone that is not cooperative..
@whenthemusicsover4105
@whenthemusicsover4105 5 жыл бұрын
@@xl000 theres more than one way to apply sankyo and i think steven segals version is more what your looking for . grab the fingers palm up apply pressure. me and my brothers have been doing that to each other for 30 years if you saw my fingers youd instantly be able to tell , they look like i tried to take them off with vice grips lmao . now in the heat of the moment im pretty sure sankyos not going to happen . wont need it. they wont be fighting anymore for 6 weeks at least cause a good hiji lol and that arms toast . and thats one of the serious ways to end a fight . just run away so you dont get sued lol.

aikido actually when performed properly is very effective. its YOUR aikido usually doesnt work in a real fight situation, one can only be as good as the time he has in honing his skills . get serious and practice like you mean it .
