Great and humble musician. He is right, Ian and Martin had a great chemistry for many years, some of the best music ever made.

Fabulous guy, one of the all time great guitar players, and still positive and full of energy. Ian Anderson just seems to be a miserable old bugger these days. I think Martin Barre is having more fun now than Ian Anderson seems to be having despite Ian's higher profile.

If there is one band/music that I had to limit myself to it would be Tull - throughout all their albums the music changes and evolves - it was never the same, and always progressing - but it was Ian driving it all. It was hard to take when Ian and Martin broke up, but that is life. I loved the Under Wraps album. Tired of all the complaining..

Great interview, questions, and follow-up on the split of Martin and Ian in Juthro Tull. Martin seems like a solid bloke, but quite conflicted in some areas...as I guess we all are. I am glad the band received a Grammy Award, but there was so much criticism for winning Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Vocal or Instrumental as that Album was really neither. Metallica's ...And Justice for All probably should have won the award and the other bands were Jane's Addiction, Iggy Pop, as well as AC/DC. But, Martin seems overly proud of it. As for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, same type of issue with political people voting and so many artists have been inducted that have no or almost no connection to Rock and Roll. Like DEI voting, which is a sad scene. It is a joke that Rush fans had to fight with the nominating committee for years before finally getting inducted...Rush fans (are loyal rabid mad dogs) gave the committee a real hard time. That was really the first Prog / Rock band that got into the Hall of Fame. Deep Purple and Yes passed over for way too long. It is criminal that Juthro Tull and King Crimson are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I am not sure Martin worried about who in Juthro Tull would get in as the goal should be to get as many or all contributors inducted. What does Martin mean by there is no Juthro Tull to be inducted? Many dead artists or broken up bands get inducted and the ones that are alive figure out if they can perform or not. As for the split of the remaining Juthro Tull mainly between Ian and Martin. Martin should now just come out and say what happened instead of Ian talked and I listened. Sounds weak. So after years of being in Tull, Martin just flopped over and ate it? If so or if not, Martin, might as well come out and just state what happened. It had to have been a rotten business decision and down the road, a few years later Ian would lose his vocal prowess. Not sure how Sid Vicious could have had a radio interview in the last 10 or 15 years ago as he died in 1979, must have been someone else from the Sex Pistols. But, Martin Barre is a spectacular guitar player and Juthro Tull is a legendary band that should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Great to hear his perspective.

He can't mean Sid Vicious - he's been dead 40-odd years. He may mean John Lydon.
