Yeah he was actually a spy in Afghanistan, then he got shot in the arm one day while the terrorist were chasing him. So he changed his name and profile and flew to London. When he saw Sherlock he figured he's not quite straight as he thought he was. Then after few years a women from his old spy service came to London searching for him and claimed her baby as theirs . So he secretly planned her murder and then lived his so called civilian life with his detective husband and daughter. 😂😆

Aye but British accents are very many and extremely varied, this particular accent is very very difficult for actors to get right, even James macavoy can’t do an Edinburgh accent right as he’s from Glasgow , only other one I can think of is Robert Carlyle playing Begbie

Including the character Lester from the TV series Fargo and the character Everett Ross from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) who appears in Captain America: Civil War and Black Panther. We don't have to wait for him to try the american accent. He excels at it.
