I appreciate how Ceci describes her experience and character of sound. ... Language use, vocabulary and analogy, is essential in capturing subjectivity. Poetry is often given a license of use to achieve this goal ... In this way, I like that each person has their own language / interpretation to offer .. Over time, each person's taste is validated by their consistency. Censorship, limitation on any of this process seems to only cripple the process... or potentially limit the reach to others who can relate to either person's expression. (First take from the first part of the video) Always amazes me how each person has a slightly different point of view / focus on the experiences / audibly. =) This is a favourite part of audio community. Sharing is a dynamic social practice. It's always nice to see people totally comfortable to share. ( After the reveal ) LEWIS!!! .. You're such a warm character - I empathize with your journey in this video .. Aww man! Thank you. THANK YOU TEAM! .. The stories and style within the group over time are wonderful to see and sometimes be part of during visits.

I told you guys this was a stunt in the comments of the original video! My comment then; "It's crazy to see how many comments believe this to be *real*!?!? When Ceci started her internship at the store, Adrian specifically stated she would only be there for a semester/quarter as part of her university/college curriculum. This video is simply a dramatic prelude to her departure."

Are the ML's more reliable than QUADS? I have had QUAD 2905, 989 and 57 and they all broke down with rattling panels having to be glued. Loved the sound though.

Bloody brilliant!! I bet all the folks that made the "oh this generation is too soft" comments feel a bit silly. So good!!! All the best to Ceci! She's really sharp and her understanding of marketing really came through this term. I think she definitely brought the AE channel up a few notches. I enjoyed the 101 videos she was a part of, the ad hoc "what not to do to your system video". Very good!! Mike seems like a great addition to the team very knowledgable and very natural on camera. Way to go Lewis. The team took advantage of your kind hearted nature, but you took the joke in stride. Lastly, best of luck in the future to Tristan. You looked stunned! We didn't get to see you much on camera but Im sure your work behind the scenes was helpful!! Adrian...you're an evil genius!!

This video showed me that both Adrian and Ceci have a future in Hollywood, esp Ceci.. Best of all it reveals Lewis for what he is - a gentle hearted caring person whose first thought was to comfort a co-worker being 'bullied' by the boss. Good on all of you for an entertaining segment.

Was the solid state or tube pre-amp mode used on the dual-mode McIntosh C12000 pre-amp? Seems like it would make a fairly big difference if using the tube mode of the pre-amp when comparing against other speakers that used all solid-state equipment.

Wendell Diller (of Magnepan) is going around with a pair of MLs with the woofer gutted, to make the point that one needs a dipole woofer (Wendell's little invention) to match properly a dipole panel. *Including at Adrian's store!* So I'm a bit puzzled that Adrian is now promoting Martin Logan hybrids.

Adrian has always liked ML but had to drop their products when he moved his store to its current location due to another store near him being a dealer for ML. But that other store closed up, which enabled AE to become a dealer again.

If this was a stunt it was in poor taste. Glad I listen to my hifi not the opinions of people I don’t know and in this case don’t care to know. You might spend your time learning to act a bit more like adults. I don’t know the “back story” but Im pretty sure it’s about as helpful as a brick on the Titanic.

I was a VERY regular viewer of your channel. WAS. Since Vilip left the content of really insightful reviews of gear has almost dropped to zero. I don't know why he left (or was asked to leave?) but it pales into insignificance compared to what he was able to offer. You're reviewing gear that has taken makers huge cost and skill to develop and are making REALLY lightweight assessment of it. Get your act together or get Vilip back.

Apparently you have not kept up with the videos (and comments from Adrian) and you don't know what is going on. Villip was "let go" due to inappropriate behavior. Adrian has decided to not be more specific about exactly what that behavior was, so that Villip has a chance to recognize his mistakes and be able to move on and find employment somewhere else (which Adrian said would be a lot more difficult if he specified exactly why Villip was let go). The new person introduced in this video (Mike) has extensive audiophile experience with both home and professional gear, and his evaluation skills are at least as good as Villip, and I would recommend you pay attention to what he has to say.

@@Mark-rw3kw Correct... it's a personnel matter and no sense to dwell on it.. Adrian has a business to run and needs people that he can trust. Hopefully, Vilip learns his lesson and is able to continue to make a living doing what he loves.. I don't see Adrian as vindictive type of person hence keeping quiet about the circumstances is totally appropriate.

Room correction is so hit or miss due to the complex nature of the listener and that old word again, subjectiveness. Also coming from a sound engineering background myself of 30 years I am a big believer that it is a really bad idea and dangerous to give the untrained individual the opportunity to adjust and eq setting. ⏏⏹⏺⏪▶⏩⏸

You are right that it can be harmful. The ARC system is automatic so there's nothing to adjust to set up. After the calibration, you can tweak the bass level to taste
