AKA "Sixty Minutes to Kill." Thanks, KZfaq (and Perry Amberson) for giving me back this piece of my youth! I still have an audio cassette I recorded of this show in 1977. Then, I was just a Martin Mull fan, but now I like Flo & Eddie, too!

In the late 1970s, I was a student at Drew University. Imagine everyone's shock when Flo and Eddie waltzed into the cafeteria one lunchtime. They did a mini concert, including "Kama Sutra Time." In the cafeteria. At a school with a seminary. It was the most surreal experience of my life. Of course the room went wild!

Flo and Eddie, knew them from Zappa, but also always knew that those were the guys of the Turtles.

Hearing about the passing of Martin Mull I started looking at his videos and what a fabulous rabbit hole I fell into! What an incredibly talented man he was. I hope he had as much fun as he made us feel, from the first time I saw him on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman on....

I think the funniest thing I have ever heard was by Martin Mull interviewed by Norm McDonald about 10 years ago. MM told a joke so utterly scabrous I nearly fell on the floor laughing.

I was there! About the funniest night of my life. I went for Mull but Flo & Eddie stole the show with their Joni Mitchell -Led Zeppelin medley. I’ve been looking for this for years. Holy crap, that’s me at

RIP Martin Mull. He was hilarious. I never saw this special until now. Also a big fan of Flo & Eddie AKA The Turtles. Hang in there, Howard...I'm not sure how long he's got.

I saw this (only once) on PBS Channel 12 (WYES) out of New Orleans as a kid and have sarched for it ever since! Couldn't remember the name of the show, only that it featured Flo & Eddie! I totally forgot that it was my introduction to Martin Mull, too! For years I tried to recall where I had seen the Sweet Steaks" Lucky Charms parody. In my mind, and perhaps it was later edited out, but I'd remember a huge "SPLAT!" sound (that sounded more like a shart) when the kid flattened the mascot. Thanks so much for posting such a a great memory of youth, and such a clear copy, too! RIP Martin, you were loved and adored!

weird and wonderful! Its strange that Eddie was waxing nostalgic for the sixties while in the 70's lol but he's right the music changed so much since his days as the lead singer of the Turtles.

Still holds up. Martin is so dynamic, and Flo and Eddie's Elenore performance was perfect. Loved the cereal ad too, what the hell.

My first Flo & Eddie experience was when they opened for David Ziggy Stardust Bowie at Winterland (San Francisco) in 1972. It was a Halloween weekend concert, and Bowie was not well known then. I was there to see Flo & Eddie - I had seen them with The Mothers before. By the time I left, part way through Bowie's show there were maybe 200 people there - in a hall that holds many thousands. He was pissed off!
