I saw her when she was opening for Little Texas way back when. It was November so she decided to do O Holy Night. PHENOMENAL! a capella and sometime even without her mic. EVERYBODY heard her.

@@BourbonCountryReacts There is no additional context in the video for this song. The lyrics are very straightforward. If the video is necessary for context the song wasn't written correctly. really the only difference in the video is that they literally show the guy looking out the open window to make it seem like she could have jumped to her death. Even that is in the song as long as you're paying attention to the lyrics

@@BourbonCountryReacts She has so many wonderful songs. I loved Islands In The Stream, where she sings with the late Kenny Rogers. There is a pretty funny video called Romeo where she sings with Tanya Tucker, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kathy Mattea, Pam Tillis and it features Billy Ray Cryus in one of his first performances. And fun fact, Dolly is actually Miley Cyrus's godmother.

@@BourbonCountryReacts She opens her set of this concert with the Corus of "Independence Day" unaccompanied it is nuts...and maybe why people use it out of context...This concert was Farm Aid 2001 - Held on September 29.

@@BourbonCountryReacts Hehe, you got it. Jelly Roll has a new(ish) album called Ballads of the Broken. While I've enjoyed most of the songs the one that came off "Country" is "Son of a Sinner", though I really like "Even Angels Cry" and "Empty House". Word of fair warning, Jelly Roll handles Uncomfortable Facts and other Inconveniences. He's "real". From a prior album "House of Cards" is a good starting point (fairly certain I mentioned it before). Again, as part of the word of warning Jelly frequently talks about alcohol, drug use, and a hard life. If you don't choose to cover those topics in a serious way I understand and Jelly Roll may not be for you. He's both a rapper and a singer who has worked with Struggle Jennings among others and grew up in the Nashville area (he recently had a sold out concert from the Ryman Auditorium and appeared shortly after that on the Grand Ole Opry).
