Ive had 3 Zs ('03; '06; and my current '08) The DE and HR motors are very different in small, very important ways. I did a full exhaust replacement using the nvidia with catbacks riding on a full coilover upgrade. Topped off with a SC kit from SOHO and im just in the getting the tune right now. started off with taking $14,000.00 to my bro who owns a shop, about 10k more, one transmission later here we are. Worth it 10/10. It'll spin tires through 3rd gear which is cool but something im working on making stop soon-(ish)

I fell in love with the Z platform well before I bought by 2003 350z with 115K all original miles, adult owned and a perfect militance record. The car has been everything I thought it would be and then some. I was a little concerned with dailying it but after about 3 months of it. I would never be able to go back to a regular sedan or SUV. its too much fun. everytime i hit that powerband at 4k RPM it immediately puts a smile on my face. I dont plan on doing anything more then tint, wheels and an exhausts bc im still in HS but down the road its gonna be my track or drift car. The Z platform and community is so dense and diverse. From show cars, street builds, drift builds, track weapons, or even a crazy ass drag build. Theres something for eveyone with this platform. regardless of the hate these Vq's get I LOVE them . JUST PLEASE KEEPS THE RESIGNATORS ON SO ITS NOT A TRUMPTET

As a Z33 owner, I feel a lot of frustration with the owners of these cars. Some of them just doesn’t hit home run and some make them really great for what they’re.

Hey so recently I just got an 03 350z (coming from working on an is300 and na Miata 1.6 so I’m okay with fixing up) and I have p0171 but no leaks. Running lean (smell gas at high rpm) any idea what it could be? Gonna change out O2 sensors soon and recently changed the MAF sensor and still nada. Needs a new tranny probably gonna do a CD009 I believe is the name but got it with 126k miles for 3.5k which to me is a steal since na Miata has 170k and is300 has 255k. Any help would be appreciated thanks. It’s a DE btw

Ive been running Apexi N1 EXV coils on my Z and the ride is great.

Only issue with the De motor burning oil are the rev up model besides that if you change the rods you can push over 400 whp same as the 2jzge vvti motor both underrated because people don't know what they are talking about... Sorry my boy but the information given was kinda bad, folks if you modify your engine messing with the air to fuel ratio in any way I suggest getting a quality tune no matter the power gain and at the end of the day it's a nissan not a toyota so keep up on maintenance more often.

Wow this video sucks. If the extent of your knowledge is what wheels look cool and exhausts sound good followed by a ‘deep dive’ into 2/3 engine specs for VQ. Oh and the last resort of unknowledgeable car fake experts - just buy a turbo kit and pay Gary 20k to fit it because I’m sure that is great advice. How about some actual information. Strengths and weaknesses of the car and key parts that require mods. Great manual gearbox, good weight distribution from light motor, bad oil cooling was covered but he didn’t mention temperature gauges are a must and a fan is required on that mishimoto oil cooler to double its efficiency. Car has traction control which can be disabled. Rear suspension is separate spring and damper but that can be changed but may crack rear strut towers. The cut wire 101 hack for drive by wire throttle vs brake application. Brembo Brakes are great and can be fitted to lower spec models. Viscous diff should be shimmed on high mileage cars to prevent the car handling like a toxic ex girlfriend who wants to kill you. Suspension bushes should also be replaced and there is pros and cons to solid vs urethane. Diff hat only has a single bolt holding it to subframe which can be fixed with extra bracket. Radiators are plastic and prone to cracking pros and cons of a aluminum radiator. Subframe is made of aluminum which can crack. Steering is hydraulic not electric not covered. Pro and cons of knuckle replacements vs bolt on kits for extra angle when drifting. Steering rack welds can break if you have a angle kit installed for drifting. I know Alex comes from a show and shine sort of background and maybe he should title the video how to build your z if you are a show and shine guy who loves parking lot clout but doesn’t like getting their own hands dirty and would rather not know where the bonnet release is …
