If you turn up the volume, you can actually hear Wheeler's soul leaving his body as that Death Cloud resolves.

Serge, you monster I did the math last time. Anyway, the update is that Wheeler has now won the dice roll for 58.6% of all North 100 Showdown episodes, and you my dear Serge, only won 37.9% of dice rolls.

Serge now has won 9 games out of 29, meaning he has won 31% of games. Wheeler is still in the lead with a 65.5% win rate overall.

G3 Adventurer had summoning sickness when Wheeler attacked with it as it was ephemerated that turn.

This but also I think they missed a Venture. Whiteplume triggered 3 times total plus one upkeep trigger should have put it on level 4. So it played out as if Wheeler chose not to ephemerate it on rebound.

44:44 I love how Wheeler goes on a tangent about not knowing if Serge will play with his cards optimally, then _immediately_ misses the regular initiative upkeep trigger to advance through the dungeon and attacks with a creature that's summoning sick because of the rebounded Ephemerate. No shade, we all make mistakes, just funny timing imo. Also, neat that from a gameplay pov it works out being the same as if he had just chosen not to re-bound ephemerate. I guess two wrongs do make a right.

So, 9 and a half minute into the video I've already chuckled at Wheeler and Serge beeing Wheeler and Serge but also audibly laughad at the shenanigans they're pulling out. I can't wait to see the rest and for the next episode to come out already xD Never played this format in my life but I can't stop tuning in the instant I see a new episode come out!

Did Wheeler miss a second Initiative trigger on his upkeep at 45:41? One from the Rebounding Ephemerate blinking the Adventurer, then a second just from having the Initiative at the beginning of his upkeep. Just trying to make sure I understand the interaction correctly.

50:35 I think not attacking with both was the right line here, since White Plume Adventurer was ephemerated that turn and the attack he did make was illegal. Arguments could be made either way, though.

Great games!! Not sure this would changed anything in those final combats, but in game 3 Serge’s Hive should have kept a +1/+1 counter from the Emperor, only the first strike goes away at EOT.

I think in game 3 Wheeler should have been down 1 more in the dungeon. 1 for Whiteplum Adventurer, 1 for ephemerate, 1 for upkeep (Missed) and 1 for the rebound of ephemerate

Can someone explain to me the "points" when they are introducing their decks and name off 3 cards?

canadian highlander allows any card (with the exception of ante cards and sharahzad, probably a few others that were removed from the game entirely like invoke predjudice), but very powerful cards like power 9 are assigned a points value, and a deck can only contain at most ten points. this allows you to use a card like black lotus, but it's like 7 points or something so it leaves less room for other powerful cards

They don't. You can put them in your deck but since there's no sideboard, you can't put them in your hand from outside the game.

They’ve said that they wanted it to look the same on camera as before, just with more room to manoeuvre (case in point, the Batsu AFK where they had space for a separate performance area away from the game table).
