Purchased ignis alpha petrol on dt 29/01/2017..... its giving 18km/lt in hilly areas. Full thums up for its mileage, and about its handling its awesome.

Hi Friends Recently I took a test drive of all new Maruti Ignis, Maruti has done very good job. Design 4.5/5 AC 5.0/5 Engine 4.5/5 Music 4.0/5 Engine Noise 4.0/5 Overall Ignis is good if we go with features as compared to other cars in this segment. I felt car is peppy, very good and stable driving even at speed of 120 I felt comfortable. Engine, I donot feel noisy. AC is wonderful . Design and boot space makes you feel happy. You definitely like good and smart interiors from Maruti as compare to Swift or Baleno . You will definitely love it! Only 1 Drawback while turning steering didnot come back so it takes time to adjust if you are habitual in your old car. Go for White or New Uptown Red color, you will feel your car more sporty. Overall I drove KUV100 and Grand I10 also . From my side Ignis is clear Winner .Better performance and mileage than other cars . Good resale value

hi u said two comments, for handling - steering is light and doesn't inspire confidence to push hard, but then few seconds later you say it doesn't feel scary at high speeds. I was looking to buy this car, but then my main requirement is for long drives. i feel ignis is best only below 100kmph, but can you advise or suggest.

I have checked Delhi on road price of Zeta AMT Petrol to be at 6.2 Lakh whereas Alpha Petrol to be at 7.4 Lakh. Are the extra features on Alpha worth the increase of 1.2 Lakh in price? And if so what in your view are features which have some real utility in place of just look good factor?

I booked Ignis Zeta on 2nd January but when they launched Ignis at that moment I was not happy. I didn't like the interiors. I felt Ignis Zeta has empty dash board. Zeta has same interiors as you can find in Delta & Sigma variants. So after this, I made my mind and canceled my Ignis Zeta booking and moved towards Baleno Zeta. I was surprised when I saw the same reaction from other customers. Moreover, if you notice all the channels are showing Alpha variant only but till date, nobody came up with Zeta or Delta model. And on road price of Ignis Alpha petrol in Bangalore is 8.30 Lacs and Ignis Zeta petrol is 7.24 Lacs. It's better if you opt for premium class Baleno Zeta petrol (8.20 lacs) rather than small segment Ignis Alpha with a huge price tag of 8.30 Lacs.
