I don’t think avengers 200 is as bad as people make it out to be. I know what they were trying to get across but people are too offended to understand it.

@@NearMintCondition I mean it’s not a great story by any means but people saying she was r*ped and saying it was a sick incest angle don’t even understand the story. It wasn’t well executed but it was trying to make a paradoxical story. They get hung up on the son part when really he just had to use her so she could make a body for him in a convoluted way. He also didn’t r*pe her, he talked about how he could but he wanted her to be willing.

When I read issue 200 , some 30 years ago, I was not fazed by it, found it an average issue in an amazing avengers run. My surprise when some years ago I learned of the outrage with this issue. The artists not taking credit I suspect is to avoid being targeted by this backlash. To my sensitivities, Spider-man's One More Day is 10x worse. My suggestion: spend more time reading issues you like, and less time with the ones you don t like Also much because of issue 200, we got the outstanding annual #10, so it all concluded well in the end.
