Maybe the reason hasbro straddle the line between cel shading and not is so collectors can use them in both displays

Actually on the older Marvel Legends Prowler Dan the way they cape runs under the head and neck is accurate to the comics not the show and his boots claws and cape are more bluish on the covers he appeared in on the 60's and 70's! The symbol on his torso being bigger is also comic accurate.

Hey if you look at some art during Todd McFarlane’s ASM run, you’ll see that this Prowler actually looks more like the comics than the original figure. Have him and he’s definitely w/ my comic collection

Amazing Spider-man #78 and 93 would be the original Prowler not drawn by Todd would be the comics accurate version wear this cape actually does run under his head not pinned to the shoulders and he's more blue than purple and the torso symbol is larger so they older legend is more comic accurate form the late 60's and early 70's!!!

You cant see pins or pinless joints from the front anyway when you look head on!!! So unless you are dynamically posing these pinless really doesn't matter!!!!

Between the new pinless limbs, the brighter colors (which I subjectively prefer), and the fact that costume designs are very similar, I’m just going to use this this Prowler in my comic display

Also the original comic Prowlers gauntlets do not go up his arms!!!!! Pinless joints will become loose and worn before pinned joints!!! Also the paint on the harder pinless joints never match!!!
