I really enjoyed this movie. I laughed. I teared up. Understood the “villain”. And wanted more.

The effects were so damn cool in this. Ghost's movements were insane, like if you paid real close attention you could see her other selves doing stuff that affected the main one we saw.

AMATW was easily one of my favorite Marvel movies, period. It was hilarious, but also got really emotional! 9.5/10. Also, Skrulls and Kree will be in Captain Marvel.

What I really liked was all the stakes were personal, and they all felt real and important to each character. It’s nice not to have a world-altering/ending conflict for once. The stakes mattered, but they really only mattered to one or two characters.

I feel like this movie really held the tone of the first and was consistent. It always felt like an Ant-man scale movie without expanding (excuse the pun) too far out of its league and maintained many of the same tensions and plot styles from the first movie. Wasn't terribly invested in Ghost's backstory but the actress, powers/effects, and the fact that they did not kill her off were great and I hope we see more of her as an ally in the future. As for the ending, it was a good way for Ant-man to not be in Infinity War but come back/be immune from the snap/get Captain Marvel involved.

Guys, Feige already announced months ago that the Skrulls are entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe, & will be the villains of the Captain Marvel movie. Next April it is going to happen. There will be no waiting.

And in the comics, during the Civil War, Hank Pym (Yellowjacket, at the time) was on Tony's side. But, he was also a Skrull. And he worked on the Clone Thor that murdered Goliath (Bill Foster)

I hate how comics Hank Pym is labeled as a "wife beater" He hit his wife ONCE but there are a countless amount of times where Reed Richards beat the living shit outta ms invisible but never gets called out for it and Hank still gets crap for it to this day for slapping Janet once while mentally unstable

Since Ant Man is stuck in the Quantum Realm, he could time travel before Thanos. This could be the reason why and how the others can come back. They could have a second chance defeating Thanos. I guess Deadpool could do it too, but I am not sure he is apart of this universe.

Also, if you read he comics, it gets more into the quantum realm and all the people that live there and how time works there, etc. maybe it’s just me but I didn’t find that part confusing at all. Besides being part of John Wick lore, Baba Yaga was also featured heavily in a lot of Hellboy stories.

Ghost had her hand in Hank Pym’s throat! #Damn. And a small theory I thought about was, in the comics Wasp (Janet) is a mutant and in this film when she’s brought out of the QR she mentions what happened to her could be considered “evolution” which is a term that’s been connected to mutation in the Marvel Universe. Just wondered if they stuck that little Easter egg in there for Janet to technically be the MCU’s first mutant without just outright calling her a mutant, because they can’t until the FOX deal goes through. I thought that would be awesome.

I didn't watch the whole review so I don't know whether they mentioned this. In the first antman movie when Scott asked Hank why he didn't want to put on the suit, Pim replied that there were some bad consequences, effects or something of wearing the suit. However, in antman and the wasp Hank travell to quantum realm without any problem despite what Scott told him about this place.

I loved the action. There was a lot and it was very creative, like a person who can shrink fighting a person who can phase.

This movie has one flaw with Infinity War and that is during Infinity War they asked where Ant-Man was and they said under house arrest. But after the post credit scenes we see him well after being released from house arrest and even built a mini Quantum portal in a van, and then HANK AND THE FAMILY DISSAPEAR. That is really the only flaw in which the movie don't align. other then that I do give it a 8/10.

There was a comic from DC's Vertigo line called FABLES that was similar to ABC's Once Upon a Time about fairy tale chsracters in the real world and Baba Yaga was a major villain in that comic so that might be where those fans knew her from.

I was happy with both villains and how each was resolved. Luis's summary of events was fantastic. Both Wasps were cool. I was so disappointed with the final end credits, I really had to go the the restroom. (and I waited for that!)

Its 50% for one person...for 3 people to disappear at random should be around 12.5%...the odds of 2 disappearing is 37.5%...the odds of 1 disappearing is also 37.5% and the odd of all of them living is also 12.5%. I dont know why the odds mirrored but ive worked on the math for longer then i willing to admit. I might have made a mistake so feel free to double check

My thoughts for the Fantastic Four is they are already there in the MCU, but are just out exploring the Negative Zone and that is the reason why they are not featured anywhere else. Like, they worked out of the Baxter Building and just basically kept to themselves, so hardly anyone knew who they were. Heck, you could say Kurt from Ant-Man here is from Latveria with his accent.

Anybody else think Janet's Quantum powers are a precursor to mutants and or the FF ? Suppose the energy from The Quantum Realm is what sparks the X gene in the MCU or grants four unsuspecting scientists fantastic abilities ? Fun to speculate

The truth sirum in AoS was like the second episode when Coulson use it on Ward to get Skye to trust them, but then they reveal that Ward was lying and there is no truth sirum

I guess it was better then the first, I still don't like the side group. The truth serum scene was great but didn't justify the lack of focus in this film.

After watching this movie, my thoughts and opinions were all over the place. I watched a couple of other short reviews and they were all the same but after watching this video, I definitely feel a whole better about Ant-Man & The Wasp. I agree with everything you guys touched on but most of all I agree with you Eric that this movie should’ve been called The Wasp & Ant-Man or just The Wasp in my opinion. That would’ve worked better because Ant-Man revolved around Scott and everyone was helping him. Considering this movie was debuting The Wasp and they called on Scott to help them out so naming it The Wasp would’ve definitely sufficed. Overall, it was a good movie and definitely helped cleanse the palate from the great experience of Infinity War except the mid-credit scene. Spoiler Alert! For those who haven’t seen this movie yet! I was expecting them to dust Hope’s parents but not Hope so she could play an important in Avengers 4. That was a real bummer and I wished they would’ve showed another tidbit (like showing who else got dusted from this movie) for the after credits scene instead of showing an ant playing drums which we already saw in the trailer!!! When I saw that, I shouted “f u Marvel!!!” at the screen lmao jk I ❤️ Marvel and u guys for clarifying details and making the Marvel experience more enjoyable. All we can do now is speculate how Ant-Man is guna help the Avengers and how The Wasp comes back and help them too.

Both Ant-Man movies are very creative and enjoyable! They do a great job in serving as a lighter side-story from all the other serious stuff going on in the MCU. I think Luis summarizing the MCU up to now would make a great featurette when this movie comes out on Blu-Ray, or maybe for Avengers 4, so that Luis has the entire 3 phases at his disposal! XD One can only dream...

Egghead is HsnkPym's archvillian in the comics because he's obsessed with proving that he is smarter than Hank but his ego always betrays him.

I want the Netflix presence in avengers 4 being punisher, would make sense acknowledges Netflix without having to have all 4 defenders or only having not all of them making people disappointed their favourite didn't show up. My idea for how he'd show up is him fixing the hulk problem with a call back to the first avengers movie with saying how when Bruce tried to shoot himself the hulk spat the bullet out with punisher being like "I hope the stories I've heard are true" and then he hulks out spits out the bullet punisher looks at hulk and is just like "I'm not the hero here never will be but you are, I don't have a place in this universe but I have more to do in it save it for me" and like hulk persona, not banner, acknowledges his request seeing him as a equal of some sort and they part epicly with punisher intro music in the background. Doesn't really work with hulk's storyline so far, would need a explanation of how punisher and hulk are in the same place and all that has tonsss of issues but would he a epic punisher cameo, call back to the avengers and would work cool for hulk's side plot I think. Won't happen but would be amazingggg

Love this movie, it was a light and fun. I have a theory about people turning into the dust. The Collector collected most of the heroes and citizens. So the heroes will have to fight each other. In a sense it would be a war.

Hank Pym is a horrible dude in the comics and a lot of the bad stuff Tony did in the movie are what Hank truly did. He was with Tony in Civil War and was more for it than Tony was. He created a horrible evil dimension prison for people.
